Ryan heckled at Iowa State Fair

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) – Rep. Paul Ryan was met by a small group of hecklers Monday when he tried to deliver a speech during his much-anticipated first solo stop since becoming Mitt Romney's running mate.

Speaking to a crowd from the soap box at the Iowa State Fair, Ryan had his remarks disrupted by activists, one relentlessly shouting "Stop the war on the middle class." Two women tried to climb on the platform next to the congressman, and both were carried off by police and other officials.

Ryan acknowledged the protesters before continuing on with his stump speech.

"It's funny because Iowans and Wisconsinites like to be respectful. These ladies must not be from Iowa and Wisconsin," Ryan said.

As one woman was being carted out, Ryan added: "Like I said, she might not be from Iowa."

Candidates have been heckled before at the state fair's soap box–where traditionally anyone with a view can speak but is a must-stop for many politicians. From the same spot just over a year ago, Romney also confronted hecklers as he campaigned for the GOP presidential nomination. It was there that he said a line that opponents now use to criticize the candidate as "out of touch."

"Corporations are people, my friend," Romney said, responding in a testy exchange. "Everything a corporation earns ultimately goes to people."

Nooooo, Democrats constantly have said that they are completely against heckling. How much did Democrats pay these ladies, actually at least they made some money so getting paid to heckle is good for the economy.

Wow, protesters shouting at Ryan? What in the world for?
Oh yeah, that's right, this guy wants to tax the c rap out of the poor and middle class just to give it to the top 5% fat cats.
Two women climbed up there on stage? It wasn't for a hug and kiss. Women are being thrown under the bus right along with Seniors, Veterans, Immigrants and the general 95% of the American population.

Very true, it was commission time at our office but we also had to write a check for taxes and renew 1 permit which was not cheap.

Democrats on the whole have lost their self respect. What else can you expect from them? Desperation is setting in and they are starting to panic.

It will get a lot uglier with the DNC campaign in the hands of "experts" from Chicago. A lot uglier.

Liberals have fun with your loser of a President for the next 3 months, as he will be defeated in November and then we will get a real President in President Romney.

Ryan was there to speak. The paid disrupters, were there to heckle. Occupy a jail, ladies. You can vote in November. Until then, I want to hear what Paul Ryan has to say. FYI: Obama has caused more wars else where than any other president: Egypt, Libya, Syria, Catholics, and Grandma. Yeah, I'm a poor grandma, and I will NOT VOTE for Obama. He is so evil. There is not one good thing he has done for Americans, that I can think are positive or ethical.
