Washington (CNN) - When U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill announced in June that she would not attend the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, she joined a number of lawmakers from both sides of the aisle planning to skip the presidential nominating events.
Different reasons were given, but a closer look shows most are in tough races.

McCaskill needs to understand who voted her into office. She needs to show her face at the convention and quit voting along that "Blue Dog" line she's been voting. I hope she now sees how far the Republicans will go to get her seat and wake up. If you are a Democrat be a Democrat and not one in name only.

All that these conventions have become are a Circus that deny serious debates on issues.
There should be more Presidential Debates with the involvement of a Intelligent serious commentator, not media, controlling it and taking real questions from the viewers in attendance.
Most debates now are nothing more than a side show that imitates a high school Pep-rally with idiots cheering and booing..

LOL! What have they won? You don't really think obama is going to win with Real unemployment over 12%, do you?
