Romney, Ryan to campaign together Friday, Saturday

(CNN) - Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, will campaign together on Friday and Saturday, CNN has learned.

The duo will attend a rally at the Long Family Orchard Farm and Cider Mill in Commerce, Michigan on Friday, the campaign said in a statement. The pair will also campaign in Detroit, Michigan on Friday and in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, Romney senior adviser Kevin Madden said.

The two previously hit the trail together for portions of a bus tour the weekend in which Romney introduced Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, as his running mate. The tour included a homecoming stop in Ryan's home state of Wisconsin. And the two GOP candidates held a joint town hall event earlier this week in New Hampshire.

Romney grew up in Michigan, although he later moved to and was governor of Massachusetts. Romney's father was governor of Michigan.

The week after their Michigan event, Romney and Ryan will be in Tampa to accept their party's nomination.

On the CNN Electoral Map, Michigan is listed as leaning in President Barack Obama's favor. The state, which this year has 16 electoral votes, last year went to Obama over Sen. John McCain, 57% to 41%.

Not many people attend the Romney / Ryan rallies. Is Ryan going to explain to the voters how he co-sponsored a anti-abortion in Congress with Akin. This ticket is bad for America. More tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires and cuts to education and Medicare. Thanks but no thanks as Romney said about releasing 5 years of tax returns. What is he hiding?

I think Mittens and Munster should go to Mackinac Island, where the aroma of fudge would cover the smell of their horse manure campaign.

How did the Romney/Ryan campaign find all the individual middle-class wardrobes for 35 white multi-millionaires who donated their time to pose for this staged photo?

Well if it isn't Mutt and Jeff, well gollllllie! Why do you need to carry a big Romney poster at a Romney rally. Don't you think those there would know you are for Romney? Just like why do you need to clutter my neighborhood with signs for either party. Do you really think I care who you'll vote for? I don't, that's why it's called "secret ballet"! dah.

All I could think of when I saw the picture was how funny it would be to turn it into a sketch of Mittens and Lapdog trying to do the white conservative people version of the Soul Train line dance. Y'all.

When campaigning we expect candidates to talk negative about their opponent but at some point one must explain their plan for the future and we haven't heard that Mitt.

Excellent choice for a rally point! I hope an enterprising CNN reporter asks the Romney-Ryan team about The Cider House Rules".

Willard, much like McCain, doesn't seem to do well on his own.
As people get to know Paula better, the less they like. No bounce from his announcement could soon be headed towards a net negative just like in 2008. Willie and Lyin Ryan coming to a plenty of good seats available venue in a town near you.

Michigan, eh? Real Clear Politics just moved that state to "toss up" from "leans Obama". That makes a total of 26 electoral votes put into play since the Ryan VP announcement. Excellent, excellent... more to come, for sure.

Shouldn't the president be there? After all, his name will be mentioned at least 20 times (on a bad day) and since they have no answers to anything the American people really care about (jobs, education, womens rights), why don't they send him an invitation?

It never is but that's the way they want it. As a matter of fact, they should hold signs saying "America the way Gawd not (God) intended".

Sniff, sniff. I smell the fear in the first 10 or so posts. Latest MI polls put Romney slightly ahead and Hoekstra ahead of Stab-me-now. RomneyRyan has expanded the playing field for 2012. Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Pennsylvania are a lot of territory for defense of 8.3% unemployment and the weakest economic recovery since WWII.

Romney and Ryan just run out of place to go...haha so, just visited their hometown and see if their people there like them...infact, Obama still lead and will win those states... Americans know Obama's team so well.. On the other hand, Romney's team?...Michigan and Wisconsin people remembered them so well, when they opposed the bail out...but begged for money privately....I don't know how they did that without shameness...

Isn't that just a wonderful bit of cherry picking right there? VA and other states didn't budge and pollsters are reporting across the board that there's been no real bump whatsoever from the Lapdog announcement, as there has been historically for other VP announcements For example, Biden caused an 18 opint bump and Palin cause 9...heck, even Lliberman caused a 13 point bump. The best I've seen reported for Lapdog so far is 2 points. Whoopty-freekin-dooodah.

You are obviously not listening or cannot comprehend what he is talking about. It's all over his web site and he addresses it all the time.

And Obama's plan is WHAT??? Another $5 TRILLION in debt? Another $4 TRILLION union stimulus plan? The buffoon is out of lefitst tricks and the chinese credit card is maxing out. Obama only plan seems to be to have a well paved road leading to the financial abyss. No thanks.

fair is fair.......your boy Ryan can just ignore his voting record at staged events, but in the debates he'll have to answer for it. Soon after, you'll see those "toss up" states going back into Obama's column. The more people get to know Romney and Ryan, the better they like Obama. Try again in 2016......and next time try putting up a serious candidate.
