Which party the middle class favors

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - President Obama and Mitt Romney both say they are focused on improving the lives of middle-class Americans, but a new poll suggests that the president has a slight edge over his challenger with the key demographic group.

Just more than half - 52% - of middle-class adults said the president's policies would benefit them should he win a second term. A lower number - 42% - of respondents said that Romney's policies would help the middle class.

  1. Republicans - "The Not Intended to Be Factually Accurate" Party

I`m a Republican; just not the money-grubbing, selfish? insecure, ME-ME-ME kind.

I have no fear or problem with President Obama`s plans for the economy. We all need to contribute and, truth be told, I don`t need another Rolex. I do, however need my country to return to a budget surplus so we can pay off the NATIONAL DEBT.

Romney has never ever been part of the "Middle Class" so how can he be favorable to them? He pays an extremly lower TAX rate than the middle class does. And he wants to keep the same Bush Tax cuts that we currently have. Then you have his #2 guy(Ryan) who voted for every Bush policy that got us into the situation that we're in now. Why would the GOP change anything now to help the middle class? Soon you'll understand!

Obama/Biden increased funding for Pell Grants by 95% and increased the average Pell Grant award by nearly $1000. In contrast, R/R will cut the average Pell Grant by $830.

  7. 8.3% unemployment - Over 8% 42 Straight months and the Obama Jobs DEPRESSION continues unabated

Over the last 4 years, how many MILLIONS of people has Obama driven out of the middle class with his failed economic policies? We have the lowest percentage of working Americans in decades. We aren't creating enough new jobs to cover the increase in poulation growth. We can only afford this country and the massive government overhead the Democrats have created IF MORE PEOPLE WORK and pay taxes. Unwise, we're heading straight down the tiolet, no matter how much you tax the "evil rich". But of course Obama won't tell you that.

Yah,the party that can actually help the middleclass and its not the republicans and they know it..Democrates enacted SocialSecurity,Medicare,Medicaid ,civil rights, rights for women ,nothing here for republicans are on here and you want a free pass, yah right!!Republicans just give banks ,WallStreet, and corporate America more room with lesser taxes, less regulation and oversight just a mix for another financials disaster, wasn't that what got us in trouble with Bushs debacles, giving to Wall Street so to screw Main Street. And republicans want Frank-Dodt bill reversed,it hasn't been totally enacted because of measures that republicans put in place to stall its activity, something we need to keep Wall Street from doing the same thing again, collapsing!!!

The American public knows the only thing keeping the US economy from taking off in full recovery is all the cavemen of the GOP in Congress working for failure. That’s why Congressmen like Ryan have earned such a low approval rating of 14% collectively – that's right GOP Congress members are communists working in a collective.

I'm lower middle class and my standard of living has not changed for the better since 01/20/2009. Fact is, I'm worse off than I was in 2008. Obama and the fools who run California haven't helped at all. Gas is higher, food is higher, government fees and taxes are higher and my rent has gone up 10%. And now you want to kiss by backside? Thanks for nothing!

Did you happen to notice that the country is going bankrupt? If people want to go to college, they need to pay for it. The American taxpayer should not be footing the bill. Besides, the money is needed for all the new food stamp recipients thnks to Obama.

And did Obama also tell the people getting these grants that they won't have jobs when they graduate thanks to him?
