Fiscal cliff spending cuts: How Americans would be hit

(CNN) – Layoffs and furloughs. Less help in school for disadvantaged kids. A reduction in immunizations and fewer meals for seniors in need.

Those are just a few examples of the damaging fallout that could occur if Congress does nothing to ward off the indiscriminate spending cuts scheduled for next year.

This one is easy. The kip flopper/altar boy munster combination is bad for women, the poor, students shoo want an education, poor children, seniors, minorities, dogs. In short, ONLY the rich need apply.

Among the conclusions in the subcommittee report: tens of thousands of workers could lose their jobs or see federal funding for their salaries reduced. Plus, millions of Americans could see various government services or assistance curtailed.

So for all of you who see Obama as their "guy for the middle class", how's that working for you after 3 1/2 years?
Not so good, huh? His excuse? There are plenty of supporters posting here. You tell me.

  6. 8.3% unemployment - Over 8% 42 Straight months and the Obama Jobs DEPRESSION continues unabated

Yes, yes, we know. Cuts are going to starve kids and seniors. Bodies will be piling up in the streets. Give me a flippin' break. It is always the same BS whenever cuts are mentioned.

How about the government cut the real BS?!! All those GSA conferences, Solyndra type loans and grants, thousands of empty buidlings costing millions to maintain. There is a LOT of savings without the cuts that the LSM likes to play on.

Yes, definitely. There isn't anything to worry about around the world. Why do we even need a military now? After 4 years of Obama, everybody just loves us and does whatever we ask of them.

The looney left is alive and as dangerous as ever.

I really don't care at this point. If it takes going over the cliff – so be it. It is high time the president stops letting this TP trash take over the country, so we can get back to doing the business of what's right and in the best interest of the American people. Congress has got to be sent a message that we aren't going to tolerate their childish behavior any longer.

Obama/ Biden 2012 will be glad to see their class-warfare strategy is still sticking with people just like you. That's all they got. They can't run on their record of helping the middle class because they haven't. They can't run on their bold new plan because they are staying with the failed strategies of 2009 and 2010. What are they left with? Personal attack politics and inciting a populist class-warfare. David Axelrod promised him people like you still exist. Amazing but true.

Yes, it is far better that we continue down the current course where everybody ends up getting nothing as the USA declares bankruptcy and crashes the global economy to dust. It'll be great. It'll make the Great Depression look like a wonderful walk in the park. Think it can't happen? Look at Greece and the rest of Europe. It has already started to happen. Free rides aren't free and don't last forever. Eventually the bill comes due.

It's working fine for me (and others in my family who were unemployed during the Bush years). I make more, have health insurance for my son now and business opportunities are knocking at the door. Does that answer your question?
