On the Trail: Thursday, August 23

(CNN) - Mitt Romney on Thursday heads to Hobbs, New Mexico and Minneapolis for fund-raisers, while his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, attends a defense roundtable in North Carolina.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden stay closer to home and attend meetings in Washington, D.C.

12:55 p.m. ET - Mitt Romney holds an event at the Watson Truck and Supply in Hobbs, New Mexico.

2:55 p.m. ET - First lady Michelle Obama speaks to grassroots supporters at Bradley Tech High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Breaking news... Biden offends half the country with his "chains" remarks. Can you believe how the CNN, NBC and CBS have downplayed these remarks? If this were a member of the GOP they'd be howling for his resignation, yet Obama actually condones this message! This is what Democrats truly think of every black family in America.
