(CNN) - High-profile pastor Rick Warren has called off plans for a presidential forum that he said was scheduled to include both major party candidates, but there are conflicting accounts about why the event was canceled.
Warren told the Orange County Register that he was nixing his "civil forum" because of the toxic political climate.
If he wants to start playing in politics, it's time to lose the tax exempt status.
The old people will need it when their health care runs out.
Methinks it's because Warren and his ilk do not think Mormonism is a form of Christianity. Yep.
the mormon factor
Who accepted the invitaion & when?
I heard there was no commitment.
He's smart not getting involved because of the church and state issue,he doesn't want to lose his tax exempt status does he...And this election is more poisonist than he can handle, wait till after the debates and see if the Mormon leper has it in him to answer questions honestly,so far he hasn't ,neither has Ryan...
An evangelical christian; a Momon and a Catholic getting together to discuss religion..... bad idea
No loss. I'm glad that warren, a bloviating phony won't be given a platform this time around.
Wired looking guy.

Whatever are the "pimping Jesus for votes" crowd going to do now? You want to panhandle away your soul to the highest bidder, do it in your Churches; don't, however, keep trying to drag me and mine (and the Lord) into your warped idea of a Christian "love" filled with nothing but hate, anger, condemnation, and political power.
sad..rick did a great job last election....cant we just get along....nope....
