(CNN) - Texas Democrats are calling for the resignation of a Republican elected county judge who warned this week that the nation could descend into civil war if President Barack Obama is re-elected.
"It's really up to Judge (Tom) Head to do the right thing and resign and stop embarrassing Lubbock County," said Kenny Ketner, who became the county Democratic Party's chief Monday.

I'd be more worried about the realistic possibility of a riot resulting from thousands of minorities voters in targetted areas like Philadelphia getting told they can't vote because they don't have the newly required ID and only have something that doesn't count, like a driver's license.

This statement clearly show that the Judge want to start a new war himself. Why not add an incendiary idea to the voting public. Don't Texans elect their judges? Anyone can run for the job. Before you get worked up about the statement please understand that rabble-rousers exist and will continue to make remarks like these. He does need to .
Perhaps the Judge would like Texas to Secede just as Governor Perry did. However it is now time for Governor Perry to step up to the plate and calm everyone down. He needs to bring the judge into his office and have a little talk.

Classic. No one there is taking him seriously so outsiders should not either. Lubbock is a pretty isolated place. Texas Tech University is in Lubbock and has always been home to some pretty colorful people/personalities: Spike Dike, Mike Leach, Bob Knight, etc. His views are probably gentle compared to what is unspoken about Obama from a gentler/kinder part of the world in West Texas.
