(CNN) – Newark Mayor Cory Booker will help reveal his party's platform at the upcoming Democratic National Convention, the event's organizers announced Friday.
Booker will join retired Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, who opposed Don't Ask Don't Tell, the military policy banning gays and lesbians that was ended by President Barack Obama. The platform will be unveiled on Tuesday, September 4, the first day of the Democratic Convention.

Is this guy really a democrat?
Isn't this the same guy who didn't agree with Obama must have been forced to change his mind.
Mayor Booker? I guess they do not plan for him to speak during prime time evening hours. The hero of Newark fell a few notches when he vigorously criticized the administration when the Bain attacks began.
Great choice and he saves lives to boot!
Jersey is getting some people at the conventions to throw some weight around. More so at the GOP convention on a literal level.

Just don't be surprised if it looks nothing at all like the results of the Obama Administration and their performance since 2009. Unfortunate for Democrats, voters are much more convinced by they see rather than what they hear. And what they have seen is not going to get Obama elected again. Enough excuses. Time was up long ago. Romney/ Ryan 2012.
