(CNN) - CNN's Tom Foreman breaks down the candidates' energy policies.
You should always fact check BOTH candidates. I do not accept the bar being set so low that we say " politicians always lie". It is not ok to lie and especially when their are dark money ads lying or distorting facts on a regular basis. You the MEDIA is our only hope to help sort the facts and the truth. If not everybody is bought and we as a society are doomed.
Mittzy does not have any policies. Obama12.
It seems Mr. Foreman has forgotten about Obama saying (paraphrase) "Sure... they can open a coal plant. But the taxes would be so high they would go out of business". This effectively shuts down coal power plant construction.
Do the drill-everywhere repugs plan to drill off the coast of Florida??
Will someone in the press 'PRESS' for an answer to that question??
Or are Florida's waters off limits while oil companies spoil the rest of our land and waters??
If you mean the same old ideas that have been passed around for years then those ideas should be laid to rest. Anything that is done must please the oil and coal industries. We need everyone to come to the table to hash out a policy, Enough talk! For seven or eight years different groups have assisted renters and homeowners to pay for their oil, gas, coal, etc. Congress does not seem to have the nerve to do anything so here we wait.
What’s a joke is American politics. Nearly everyone in the country would agree, judging by congressional approval ratings in national polls.
Super PACs, Religion, & Lobbyists: “The Tea Party is funded by Koch Industries, or Big Oil. The Koch brothers gave over $55 million in bribes to scientists to say global warming is a hoax. They are a vast political network, sponsoring Christian conservative rallies and funding political ad campaigns nationwide. They are instrumental in busting unions and they pushed for the Citizens United/ ‘corporations are people’ law.
so Romney's not telling the truth
Fact check without real and meaningful statistics and no conclusion on the balance of truth re energy policy for either side. At present it matters not who made the enrgy decions or when as long as they have not been interfered with ) keystone pipeline is a side show ( much of that will be exported) and the route is the only issue... environmental risks to our water table are important. You also Tom ignored akey reality re Oil exploration etc that Obama has grante many many more licenses that historically by any President.
This kind of so called " fact checking" is useless.
