Ryan to 'deconstruct' Obama agenda

Tampa, Florida (CNN) – Rep. Paul Ryan will "deconstruct" President Barack Obama's campaign agenda in a tough, direct manner during his speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night, according to a Republican source familiar with Ryan's speech.

The congressman will spend most of the policy section of his remarks on the economic issues that are in his wheel house. About a third of that will be on the stimulus program enacted in 2009 and a third will about the federal debt.

Ryan, himself, set the terms and themes for the speech and wanted to be an attack dog, the source said.

He will also include in his speech a biographical section introducing himself and spend a fair amount of time talking about why Romney should be president.

Romney is scheduled to speak Thursday night, when he accepts his party's nomination.

Yeah, right. He needs to work on deconstructing his bill about legitimate rape or his budget that turns medicare into a voucher system after people have paid in for 67 years! Yeah, Ryan....that's exactly what you have propsed for anyone under 55 yrs old. "Continue to buy in to medicare and when you finally retire at 67 or 72 or whatever age we change it to, we'll give you a voucher to supplement your purchase of a healthcare policy on the free market. You'll be able to afford it...or not. Meanwhile, I'll continue to receive the FREE, government sponsored, healthcare you have provided for me!" Why don't you deconstruct that statement?

Deconstruct Romney – Ryan's disastrous agenda:

    • Privatize Medicare turning seniors' care into a coupon system
    • Privatize Social Security
    • Cut $800 billion from Medicaid, including from disabled Americans
    • More tax cut for the rich
    • Co-sponsored redefinition of 'forcible' rape
    • Defund Planned Parenthood
    • Return to Bush's Neo-con foreign policy
    • Higher deficits
    • Etc.

    No thanks.

C.Krauthammer ( article from Real Clear Politics) :

"There was one meeting, early in the administration Obama decided to have a roundtable with Republicans in a way to show how open he was to new ideas. It went on for hours. Obama was the chair of the meeting, so he controlled the microphone and the one guy who bested him time and again in that argument - the one guy who always got ahead of Obama and put him on the defensive was Paul Ryan. And I think that they are underestimating who they now have as an opponent."

    Start weeping Dems/Libs.

Obama's a ONE TERMER ( just like he promised us if things did not improve )

    Ryan, the magician.

He spent last 8 terms in congress? where were he when Bush invaded Iraq? Where were he the deficient ballooned under Bush?

in the past 3 years, he and his tea bagger used his magic video games to conquor the deficient, he changed his hat, and slipper.

Now, he vow to deconstruct the destruction he helped created. What kind of logic is that?

fools fool, Americans are no fool.

Ryan drives a tank to the gulf of the ocean.

Romney was required to file a financial disclosure form, less detailed than taxes, when he filed for president. In fact, he argued that he should have to release his taxes because the disclosure form showed everything important. But 23 different investment funds shown on his taxes did not appear on his disclosure form - and 11 of those are in those overseas, secret banking centers. That's a sign of what he's embarrassed to reveal - and it's also a felony, if the government can prove it was deliberate and not just a sloppy oversight.

Ryan won't dare mention the spending bills he himself voted for during Bush's two terms that took us from 3 trillion in surplus to 6 trillion in the red by 2008.

This guy is a real shapeshifter.

Jee that's cool.... One question... Why can't Paul Ryan CONSTRUCT the Republican agenda? Maybe there ain't none? Or, maybe it's so extreme – like Mitt Romney's taxes – that they have to keep it secret!

What an inflated ego cutting Grandma Medicare doesn’t make you courageous or intelligent “deconstructing?” What does it mean anyway putting back, the preexisting condition in place, leaving out 30 million uninsured? Where did he get the “deconstruction” idea from Bain capital/Romney?

Who cares about what that hypocrate who has been on welfare all his life will say? He has been working in the government all his life time. The wife is a lobbist for insurance company. Think about that. That lier Ryan don't care about middle class the same way as Robmey.Obamacares,Romneydoesn'tcare,Ryandoesn'tcare.

This should be interesting given his 7 terms in office. Where was he to stop the mess made before Obama took office?
Where was he to work with Democrats once Obama took office?
It's easy to criticize- but not whne you are the problem.

Frankly, before Mr. Ryan "deconstructs" anybody's plan, perhaps it wouldn't be too much to ask him to lay out his own. All we have are some glowing generalities, and his past voting record to go on (scary as that is). Besides, all Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have done is lie (and lie some more!) about Mr. Obama so far (i.e. cutting Medicare; "You didn't build that"; etc...), why do they think anyone will believe their interpretation?
They live in a strange place....

Deconstruct this, Ryan. Where is the runaway spending in Obama's budget? Why is it that you can't balance the budget for 30 years, if then, even when you assume that revenue will increase when you cut taxes? Can't you just cut the runaway spending in Obama's budget? Why did the CBO says that the deficit would disappear on its own if the Bush tax cuts and the doc fix are allowed to expire?

Paul Ryan. According to him, he has foreign policy experience. And what is that? He helped sent Americans
to Iraq to die, he voted to send people to war.
And his boss was giving interview on fox on Sunday in which he advised people not to invest in foreign
company, not to bank in foreign banks, not to buy foreign goods(tv, cars...) after he got rich by doing the very
same thing. My hint on his statement is he will release his tax returns and blame all faults on a blind trust.

    To Ryan and followers........

By all means please spend a third of the time explaining WHY a stimulus was even needed in the first place.

And PLEASE a third of the time explaining how we got into such deep debt since Clinton leave a surplus.

In other words, don't paint me a half the picture don't paint me a third of the picture.

    Paint the WHOLE picture.

If you're going to take me from A to C, tell me what happened from A to B. Leave nothing out Mr. Ryan.

You wouldn't want the american people to be mislead as to why and how we got in this ditch now would we ?

Do you think they'll show the video of him pushing the stimulus that Bush wanted? Do you think they put his yes votes for Medicare part D, the Iraq war, basically anything Bush wanted up on one of those big screens? Do you think that he will let everyone in the hall know that he has the same cuts in his budget that they keep saying President Obama "gutted" from Medicare? I don't know how he and Romney look at themselves in the mirror knowing all the lies they tell. And none of them are to benefit the American people, it's all about power for them. Romney just wants to be president because his father didn't make it. Kind of like how W invaded Iraq all because of an incident between Sadaam and Bush, Sr. How did that work out for us? Not very well!

Ryan should show how the GOP/Tea Party agenda will benefit the 1% wealthiest Americans at the expense of seniors and the middle class.

So that would be the time that Ryan kept hammering on his "brilliant" discovery that discretionary spending - a very minor part of the Federal budget, as anyone who has spent two minutes on the subject knows - went up 80% in Bush's last budget (which is what they were operating under at the time, and for which Rep. Paul Ryan presumably voted) and, in the spirit of bi-partisanship, President Obama chose not to shut him down for trying to derail a serious discussion in order to flog such petty nonsense (apparently in an attempt to promote his supposed "budget expertise")? That would be the meeting, at the Republican caucus retreat in March 2009, that you're talking about? If so, thanks for letting me know that Krauthammer is the partisan propagandist who's been trying to keep your ridiculously twisted version of the story alive. I had been wondering. You really should read anything by Krauthammer with a salt shaker nearby and at the ready. He's shameless, but then so is Paul Ryan. They're a real pair. Of mutual self-promoters as well, it would seem.
