Two people removed from RNC after taunting black camera operator

Tampa, Florida (CNN) – Two people were removed from the Republican National Convention Tuesday after they threw nuts at an African-American CNN camera operator and said, “This is how we feed animals.”

Multiple witnesses observed the exchange and RNC security and police immediately removed the two people from the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The convention released a statement saying, “Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

CNN also acknowledged the incident, saying, "CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

The convention began its first full session on Tuesday after being delayed a day by what was then Tropical Storm Isaac. It continues through Thursday when Mitt Romney is expected to accept the party’s nomination as its presidential candidate.

Wow, CNN...You put this last in your news reporting! This is indicative of what a Romney president would be like!!! They are ALL racists & they want to go back to the 1960'S. ~You should be ashamed CNN! If this happened to a white guy at an Obama event, then it would've been BREAKING NEWS!!!

Is this really suprising, lets be honest here, People of Color are not exactly welcomed with open arms in the era of the Tea Party and Conservatism....

Seems the GOP/Tea Party tent isn't so big and inclusive as advertised.

Same old racist group this is the way the republican party is what's scary is this is becoming more the norm with the extremist taking over and Mitt is to afraid to stand up and say something I can't wait for Obama to win and maybe the repubs will listen to the voters and kick all the crazy right wing wackos back in the closet where they belong

And yet these same people are constantly displaying the same behavior toward the President. Truly he or the cameraman shouldnt be disrespected, but the attendees are practicing what these politicians preach.

NOT a surprise. These people just let it out, the rest of the "party" keeps it hidden.

Only reason CNN mention it was because other media is reporting it.

Even thus it was just a couple of GOPer's that is exactly what the base reflects. We all have known this for decades, so this is no surprise. Good job repukes! Just continue your implied hate, and them blame everybody else like always.

This is truly sad ! I guess all that hateful rhetoric has finally caught up to the GOP and it was on display yesterday ! I'm glad I am voting Democrat this election ! The Democrats are truly the inclusive party !

Not at all surprising. When dim bulb barbie was performing at Bright House Field in Clearwater, someone shouted, "sit down, boy!" to a black cameraman working for Channel 8 News. Reporter Chip Osowski, while obviously thoroughly disgusted by the comment, somehow managed to maintain his composure and finish his report but it left viewers with a pretty bad taste in our mouths. Of course the tighty righties will try to blame "libruls" for this latest "truth comes out" moment although everyone at the Convention Center has signed reichwing loyalty cards and been thoroughly vetted.
