Five things we learned at the Republican National Convention

,

Tampa, Florida(CNN)– On the night vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan made his debut on the national stage, the GOP turned its attention to America's influence abroad and what the party sees as President Barack Obama's failed economic policies. The roster of speakers at the Republican National Convention boasted two of the party's foreign policy heavy hitters and rhetoric designed to appeal to voters who are still undecided.

Here are five things we learned from the convention's second...

Ryan said that the GOP won't duck the tough issues. He obviously was not referring to Romney's tax returns.

I want to address this email to Gloria Borger, because she did such good interview with Ann Romney:

    Gloria,

The question keeps being asked: "Did Ann Romney help us to know Mitt, better?"

Ann was fantastic at the convention. A very classy lady. What more does the press want from her? Do they want to know how many times a day Mitt burps?! The press is too intrusive, but Ann Romeny is a class act.

I remember Michele Obama telling the press that her husband left his "stinky socks" all over the house and that she and the girls wouldn't pick them up, because they were so stinky. That's just classLESS! Who says a stupid thing like that to the press?! AND, more importantly . . . why the heck would the American people want to even know that?! Too much stupid information.

The answer as to "Did Ann Romney help us to know Mitt better" is: Yes! Anne gave a lot of endearing information about her husband and we do feel like we know him better. No, she didn't tell us anything about "stinky socks," because she is too much of a lady to say that.

I'm a working woman and don't have a lot of time to read "comments," but I glanced at a few and the "hate mail" about Ann being a "well to do woman" is just astonishing! This country is consumed with hate. The government handouts have caused the hate to grow.

FYI: I used to be a Democrat, but am now an Independant.

Thanks for letting the country know that Ann Romney said all that she needed to say . . . and she did it with class and grace.

If you are referring to Ryans speech then the only things I learned were the lies he spoke ( if challenged of course he'll say he misspsoke) but then again, I think not; he will continue lying! pants on fire etc.
It seems not to matter to Media to point out these lies or inaccuracies.... Oooops sorry forgot its the lies and inaccuracies that feed you thru the rules of FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND PUBLISH AND BE DAMNED being more important than integrity and accuracy. I cannot even LOL at that disgrace to a once great profession.
    Regards,
    Hodgson.

    5. I cannot see MITTens greater than EVERYONE that has spoken before him. His speech will be filled with more lies and flip-flopping and Etch-A-Sketching – which is no different than what he has been doing all along!!!

The republican convention so far is based on false premises. They are building the convention them with the debunked assertion "We built that" and many others.
From the start it was built from assorted lies how their can defend their lies during live debate? I hope the moderators will have the facts in hand when they arrive in the debate arena.
We know that Republican depended on low/miss informed and distrusted voters about their government but how many of them are present to help the GOP to cross the 50% threshold to win an election even in this economically hard time?
Because the stood against growing economy, they are trying to make it harder to vote and they are seeding much hate and resentment on the voters that might be a factor, but I doubt people will fall into their trap to vote against their own interest.
GOP is not a viable party in the 21 century unless it transform itself with new idea based on the objective reality of our time and inclusion of the divert population of the USA.

I learned that the people of Janesville are not aware of the radical agenda of Ayn Ryan. He voted against the stimulus, but took credit for the jobs it created, he voted against seniors, women, college students, the uninsured, the poor, the union workers, the veterans, the environment. He did vote for the entire Bush agenda, including two unfunded wars, TARP, unfunded drug programs, tax cuts for the wealthy, tax breaks for big oil, and for big banks. Ryan knows that the republican leadership gave us a $12 trillion national debt.

Paul Ryan was aggressive in his speech while he comes from the very, very low rating congress in history. Is this young lad expects that they will take over the White House??? Borrowing Muhammad Ali's words: "If you even dream of beating me, you'd better wake up and apologize"!

So, did Ryan the Catholic fess up that he helped create the mess President Obama inherited, or did he just slam Obama for making it worse by not slopping up the GOPer muck left behind from the last Administration fast enough?

Or, did Ryan the Atheist fess up and tell the middle class and seniors that under his budget already passed in the United States of America House of Representatives they would immediately lose benefits because the needs of the many (middle class) drain precious resources from the needs of the few (1%ers)?

Or, did Ryan the Congressman just adopt the Mitt Romney philosophy of lie first, lie fast, and never let up on the lies?
