Tampa, Florida (CNN) - Mitt Romney's highly anticipated speech Thursday night will examine his philosophical view on the role of government, offer his biography, review what he calls President Barack Obama's failures and provide his vision on how to solve the nation's most pressing problems, campaign officials told CNN.
The planned 30-minute address concludes the storm-shortened Republican National Convention with Romney's acceptance of his party's nomination to run against Obama in November.

Romney's prime-time, nationally televised speech provides a first chance for the former Massachusetts governor to reach a broad American audience, said the officials, who briefed CNN on condition of not being identified.
Other speakers will include former business associates, people who worked alongside Romney in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his lieutenant governor in Massachusetts, and former Olympic athletes as part of an effort to shed light on the candidate's background and experience, the campaign officials said.
In addition, leading Republican figures such as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will speak before Romney.
Gingrich and his wife, Callista, will talk about GOP icon Ronald Reagan, while Bush will discuss education, which the campaign officials described as his "pet issue." Rubio, who will introduce Romney, will tell his own personal story of the American dream and link it to Romney's story as part of the nation's social tapestry, according to the campaign officials.
You democrats are all the same. You would rather lose your jobs and homes than admit that Obama is a total failure. I hope when Romney/Ryan get elected in November/12 that you democrats will not be looking for jobs and and a better life from the republican presidency because you hate them so much that you cannot accept anything good that will come out of them being elected. That will be good...more jobs for republicans.
According to a New York Daily News article, written by Jonathan Lemire dated August 28th 2012 stating the following. January 20th 2009, 15 Republicans including Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and Newt Gingrich met at a Washington steakhouse in the midst of the recession vowed to make no effort at bipartisanship. Fighting every turn, dedicating thremselves to make Obama a one term President (Can we add Mitch McConnell?) And Newt Gingrich declaring, " You will remember this as the day the seeds of 2012 were sown". If there's any truth to this article Political Warfare was waged since 2009. The Republicans/Conservatives are hoping as the Du-Ponts and their wealthy big business and corporate friends put Reagan in Office, why wouldn't the Koch Brother's, Carl Rove, Donald Trump, Romney and his big business/Corporate buddies purchase the White House. God Bless America.
Apology people it was in the August 26th 2012 edition, paper page 24.
We started bleeding jobs and the start of the housing market collapse in late 2005 and early 2006.
That Republican President did a lot to save the jobs and help home owners then, didn't he?

Another enlightening pledge that gets no coverage is that they vowed to "make a liberal govern like a conservative".
@rs Mitt cannot stop lying now, because the whole RNC convention platform was built on lies. "We build that" "welfare" “$716 billion Medicare raid” etc. You know that once they lie there is no way to stop lying because they have to lie to cover their previous lies.
@reggiew – If you are person that the republicans represent, then you don't NEED a JOB! Quit voting against your own interests!!! Hahahahahahahhahaha
If they are elected and the big companies know they will be able to treat employees like they want to, then they might get it done when these compaies start hiting people. They won't do anythng as long as they think Obama won't back theior games.

Four million people lost their jobs during GWB's final year in office. Millions had already lost their homes or were on the verge of losing their homes on Jan. 20, 2009.
Philosophy/Romney! There is an oxymoron. All he knows is to cheat, lie, misrepresent and desparately look for his
"personality", which of course he will never find.
Even if Romney should win, he will find out just like the presidents before him that it is extremely hard to change anything in Washington. It will be pay back time for Republicans by the Democrats for opposing EVERYTHING in the last 4 years. In the last year only 61 laws were passed in contrast to an average of 260 laws/year. Now they complain that Obama did nothing. Nice trap, but will it work in November?
Romney will run the same deficit as Obama (if not more so) just like Bush W. when W. doubled our national debt from 5 Trillion to 10 Trillion DURING BOOM TIMES. (That is a fact!)
But that will be alright as we taketh from the Poor and giveth to the Rich for better to outsource your jobs.
