(CNN) - With the Republican convention over and the Democratic convention about to begin, members of both tickets are on the campaign trail on Saturday hitting up key battleground states.
President Barack Obama attends two events in Iowa. Mitt Romney speaks in Ohio, then flies to Florida for an event with his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan.

10:50 a.m. ET - Romney attends a rally in Cincinnati, Ohio.
2:20 p.m. ET - Obama attends a campaign event in Urbandale, Iowa.
4:30 p.m. ET - Romney and Ryan attend a rally in Jacksonville, Florida.
7:05 p.m. ET - Obama attends a campaign event in Sioux City, Iowa.

There will be minimal bounce from this boring propaganda-dropping elephants parade despite the Hollywood-style efforts to make a human being out of the Mittster. The man rings a false note every time he opens his mouth and everyone but the politically tone deaf can hear it. Furthermore, all the trickle-down arguments in the world don't make failed supply-side economics. valid. Corporations are sitting on huge amounts of cash which they invest in the stock market, and keep in foreign banks. More tax breaks for them will not help create jobs. In the same vain, the wealthiest one percent are off-shoring their money and hiding it in tax shelters. Giving them more tax breaks will also not create jobs. The greed-driven approach to taxation serves a very few selfish people at the expense of the long term needs of the country. Only the most cynical can press for continued tax cuts to the wealthiest. The core of the RomneyRyan promise to create jobs and reduce deficit is based on slashing taxes for the rich and destroying Social Security and Medicare as we know it. In short, Romney has not one single idea about how to accomplish his grandiose objectives. It is indeed smoke and mirrors and nothing more.
I keep waiting for someone to mention the North American Indians. Mention is made of Mexicans, new Americans, Immigrants.etc.
