Obama could and should spend a lot more time with his family. He could do that by cutting down his time on the golf course and basketball courts. Then he could start spending a lot more time working plus spending time with his family. Mr Obama you have a full time job not a part time job like a lot of people do due to your over regulation of small business and energy producers in this country plus you giving jobs to Brazil to develop their oil fields while your epa is putting hundreds of coal miners out of work.

I'd rather stay at home instead of work too. Problem is-the American people are paying barack's salary-he should quit playing hide and seek in the White House, and get to work!!!

you would think that Republicans, the party of "family values" would support this train of thought....but seeing it's President Obama that does it from what I read so far they don't. Too bad but I am no longer surprised at this.

What Pres Obama does not get is...that a father bonds with his children from the day they are born not from the day he ran for President....Obama does not and did start anything from day one....

Senator Obama sure didn't give President Bush the benefit of the doubt when he was raising two daughters while dealing with two wars on half President Obama's budget and Dems running the House and Senate for the last two years of his term Which incidently is where the TARP money was approved.

So, Between 500 plus hours of golfing and raising kids, The President has it easy compared to previous Presidents

u@once upon a horse, I agree with you. It Mitt had said this, the repubs would be proud of him. I agree with the president. Who wants to be with all those immoral and disgusting folks. Most of them don't want to go home to their family. After what Mitch McConnel said, who would want to be around him and the other fakes? President Obama did try to reach out to them all and that is why things didn't go well for him. I am glad he is standing up to them. In the end. your family is all you have. THis country will not change around if anybody put 24/7 time in it. It will take time. Obama knows this and most rational folks know it.

I don't think anyone that loves their family has a problem about quality family time. If President Obama didn't spend time with his family people would call him a neglectful husband and father. President Obama works hard for our country and is on call 24/7 as any President is. When all is said and done it is your family that will always be there for you.

This is confirmation that Romney's campaign is basically funded by the Mormon church leaders and for the purpose of trying to bring legitimacy to that church and its teachings beliefs, and emphases on making money and controlling great wealth and the nation's and the world's enterprises that owe most of the wealth. He isn't for the USA; he is for the MOrmon Church!1 Explain to me how any woman would vote for a man whose religious mandated teachings force separation of women in their leadership, halls of worship, their everyday life. Woman are trained to bear children, not reach their intellectual ability. Also don't think that evolution is a hoax or excommunication awaits you. Romney, the Mormon candiate, to bring them respectability and cast thoughts away from the church's history and required practices!!

Given a choice,I would rather spend time with my family, than with washington politicians and hangers on whose only committment is the pursuit of personal interest-rather than national interest.

    Obama 2012-win assured.

This sounds like "Family Values" – The Republicans should be proud of President Obama for spending time with his family. Just like they should be proud of him for wearing the American flag on his lapel and mentioning our troops in Afghanistan when he gives major speeches!!

Obama 2012 – The Only Trusted Way Forward!! – And YES, We Know You Built That – We ALL Did!!!

Those supporting Mormonism will have to challenge St. Paul in Galatians 1: 6-9 and The Word of God in
Deuteronomy 13: 3 warning you not to follow prophets and dreamers Joseph Smith and Brigham Young placing a barrier
between Christ and yourselves BY-JS-Jesus"for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul".

You've clearly been logging some time watching Fox News. President Obama has spent more time on the job than most Presidents – much more than George W. Bush. We are drilling more now than during the Bush years and your comment about Brazil is delusional. The regulations on the coal industry has and will save many live – those lost from cancers and other chronic diseases. Clean coal is possible – but very expensive. We need it but we must be willing to produce it in such a way where children don't die from cancers caused by air and water pollution. You can pretend it's not true because it challenges your income – like tobacco, dirty shale oil, and plumes from chemical factories. The industry is spending millions to get you fired up when they should be spending the money to update their systems.

Being president should not include this so-called shmoozing with the politicians. Mr. Obama has worked hard. He has a right to enjoy golf or basketball of anything else. Some of these comments are outrageous. Take a look at the amount of work that Congress did and then you can talk about slackers. They accomplished very little and had their won agendas. They refused to find common ground. They have shown us that they are very good at sitting on their hands and doing nothing even while they are taking taxpayer money. We all need to let them know this was totally unacceptable.

  20. hate from the left but mostly lies

He spends the time he usually would spend with his family either (a: gazing at that pretty face in the mirror (b: brainstorming lies about Romney and republicans in general, or (c: going to fundraising parties with the rich and famous and pretending to be in touch with normal americans/reality.

@ Marie MD. The LDS Church does not excommunicate those who marry outside of the faith. It is discouraged though, and leaders of the church have spoken out about marrying outside of the faith.

Mr. Obama you should definitely resign. This way--you will have plenty of time to golf, spend time with the kids, shoot hoops, jet set around the world with Marie Antoinette, party with Jay Z, etc---and our economy/country will be saved at the same time!! It would be a win-win situation for everyone.

The joke is some of you folks. Stop the Republican and Democrat back and forth on everything. Some of you look at everything through a Democrat or Republican lenses. It is like you are brainwashed and do not question your own party's policies. It is impressive that he values family. I am glad that he is not business as usual. I am glad that he is not schmoozing with the idiots in Congress from both parties on the weekends. The fact that Democrats and Republicans are both complaining means that he is doing something right. Maybe if our Congressman and Senators went home and stop spending all of their time schmoozing and pocketing money from lobbyists, then maybe the legislative branch can compromise and get something done rather than bickering all of the time. This is just one more example why Congress is a REAL JOKE!!!

Good for you Mr. President. In the end family comes first. Your girls are fine young women. You and your wife should be commended. No late night parties ala bush!
Not the way the flip flopping family is trying to portray their bully dysfunctional family. Child has a meltdown about a supposedly miscarriage and the non working wife doesn't tell her husband?
What kind of family is this???
