(CNN) – Rapper Nicki Minaj goes political in her latest lyrics, and not the way some would assume for a major celebrity.
"I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney," Minaj raps on a new release from Lil' Wayne. "You lazy b-hes is f-ing up the economy."
Minaj's latest lyrics were reported last night by outlets including The Huffington Post and Gawker.
Despite her proclamation, most observers seemed skeptical that Minaj was actually endorsing Romney, since she frequently assumes different personalities in her lyrics.
Minaj has delved into politics before on Twitter, including a plea to President Barack Obama to expand his sweeping health care law.
"Just give FREE health care to all. @BarackObama what can we do?" Minaj tweeted in June.
"@BarackObama I wouldn't mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare. Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?" she added.
Minaj was recently announced as a judge on next season's "American Idol."

I voted for Obama. I'm considering Romney but haven't decided. The way I see it, it's not a mandate against Obama. It's whether a change in leadership will make a difference; the economy is critical and will Romney's gameplan have better results ? If so, it's ok to consider giving him the reins for a while and test it out. The current economy and the trending path is horrible and I'm not fully convinced that Obama's plan is helping much. Will wait to hear the gameplan during DNC but am keeping an open mind about Romney.
Clearly the Libs – Dems – College Crowd are again being blinded by slick Obama...he fooled you into voting for him 4 years ago, and y'all falling for the same 'ol BS again- all talk, no substance- that's why Obama is always smiling broadly and grinning and laughing in every photo- the joke's on all of you who voted / will vote for him, and he's laughing all the way to the bank! While you all struggle financially and listen to this guy who claims he's going to solve all your middle-class problems, he and his family are becoming incredibly wealthy just thinking about another four years, and what do we all have to show for it, nothing! Nothing has changed in this country since 2008, except that things have gotten far worse. The college crowd are still too young to have experienced any major life disappointments that most likely come by middle age, and these disappointments will only be magnified if this guy gets another four years!

Truly, this 'lady' lacks any refinement, education or actual knowledge relating to politics and it's highly doubtful that her rant would influence a single person to vote (either way!). That being said she represents everything that's wrong with this country- focus on people and things that do not matter.
