(CNN) - Anyone watching the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night heard the number 4.5 million several times.
"Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition, our president took action, and now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs," San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, the party's keynote speaker, said.
Hello CNN your jobs measurment of course starts from Jan 2008 the day he takes office.
Ask any economist Republican or Democrat and jobs numbers are a so called lagging indicator and also remember the budget in play was Bushes up to September 2008. From January to July/August 2008 over 4m jobs were lost. Those were Bush creation that led to the 10 %plus its now 8.2 and still too high but your report is not giving all the fact check facts for people to make a reasonable judgment.
The last 29 months 4.4 m jobs have been created and which states have dumped Public sector jobs... those Republicans won in 2010??
Give us all a break do a proper job.
"The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession."
If there's fewer workers, there's more takers. The best solution to this problem is to get another million or so on the taker side... hmmmmmm, maybe some more dreamers. Yeah, yeah... THATS the ticket.
