(CNN) – The conservative super PAC Crossroads GPS said Wednesday it would spend upwards of $6 million to air a television spot knocking President Barack Obama’s record on the economy, saying his policies are the opposite of his campaign’s ‘forward’ motto.
The new ad, titled “Forward?” will air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia, a spokesman for Crossroads said, with $6.6 million going toward the ad buy.

“President Obama says he’ll move us forward,” a narrator says in the spot. “But where’s he taken us so far? America’s worst economic recovery ever. 23 million of us without full time work. Family incomes down. Forty percent living paycheck to paycheck. And Obamacare’s new tax on middle class families. All while Obama racked up 5 trillion more in debt. Is that really forward, or backward?”
The ad’s opening shot of Obama walking through the White House colonnade is similar to a shot used in the president’s own political ads, and the ‘forward’ theme is a riff on his campaign’s slogan, which was unveiled last Spring.
A second ad from Crossroads airing in North Dakota goes after Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp, who is running against Rep. Rick Berg to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Kent Conrad.
The ad hits Heitkamp for her support of Obama’s health care law, saying it increases federal spending at a time of skyrocketing federal debt.
Crossroads said it would spent $110,000 to air the ad in North Dakota.

The truth is clear on this point. Democrats want to take the country forward while Pharisee/Repugnants want to take it "back".
A report on NPR this morning details the structural problem the dying Repugnant Party has. To win, it has to keep getting increasing percentages of the white vote in a country where whites are gradually being outnumbered. That's because it has no way to appeal to Asians, Blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities. It's a doomed party and an archaic political philosophy.

Spend all you want Republicans, the only thing you accomplished these last four years is a waste of time, and I don't have time to waste on the same plans that sent this country on the path Karl Rove misstepped with his terrible ideas.
The recovery is so slow because of the severity of the Great Recession on the whole economy. They gave it a name for a very good reason. Every recession since the Great Depression has hit primarily in one industry or economic sector, with some rippling occuring to other industries and sectors of the economy. We have seen recessions preceded by economic hard times in the airline industry, the housing and mortgage industry, the automotive industry, high energy prices, construction, and other sectors. Recoveries have been led by other industries recovering quickly and leading the way to economic growth.
The Great Recession saw nearly every major segment of the economy undergo a major downturn: high energy prices, airline travel slowed, automobile sales slowed, housing slumped while mortgage defaults rose, construction stalled, and we all know wat happened to Wall Street. There wasn't much an economic sector that was robust enough to lead us into a strong recovery and one sector really cannot do it alone.

This is one way to keep the economic going, if we could just get them to help President Obama to pass a job bill, just saying no will not get it, I just love these people they say one thing and do another one. Obama is giving away the country because he wants health care for every one, but they will spend millions on ads to beat him down, if he is no good why spend money on ads, just tell people not to vote for him I am sure they know what kind of person he is.
It sure beats Back to 1720. Taking away voting rights for women and blacks is all that seems to concern republicans. Oh, and monitoring every pregnancy. (that's small gov't).
The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession.

I was so pleased last night how my fellow Dems kick-started our convention here in NC. It is quite impressive. I would like to urge them to keep the heat on until the end. I can assume that by closing up it will be who do you trust? Trust is the thing which no one can buy but just earn it.
The way I see it the country IS better off today than it was four years ago as evidenced by how QUICKLY people have forgotten how totally SCREWED we were when Bush left office in 2008.
We are not as far along in our recovery as we would've been had BOTH teams put country first, but God and my 401k know that we're no longer teetering on the precipice of MULTIPLE national and global calamities befalling us.
Don't be fooled into forgetting, America, who stood idly,indolently, and unrepentantly by OBSTRUCTING and BLOCKING our recovery all because they hated their President more than they loved our country.

Crossroads would be more effective with their money if they actually helped people with it... like stocking food banks. But they would rather throw it at advertising to mock one person. That is pathetic and shows just how much power Karl Rove craves. He even jokes about murder-for-hire. He is dangerous in his ambition.
Karl Rove has done enough damage to America already. As "Bush's brain" he was behind the disastrous Bush years. Now he's trying to replace President Obama with Mitt Romney, who seems to have no guiding values, which would make him yet another perfect tool of the Neo-cons. Haven't we had enough?
