On the Trail: Wednesday, September 5

(CNN) - As the Democratic National Convention moves forward, President Barack Obama arrives in Charlotte ahead of his speech Thursday. Vice President Joe Biden also attends convention events.

Paul Ryan campaigns in Iowa before heading to Utah for a fund-raiser, and Mitt Romney continues with debate preparations in Vermont.

10:20 a.m. ET: Paul Ryan attends a campaign rally in Adel, Iowa

3:45 p.m. ET: President Obama arrives in Charlotte.
