GOP hammers Obama 'reality' in weekly address

(CNN) - In the wake of the Democratic and Republican conventions, Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming said in the GOP weekly address that "it's time for rhetoric to meet reality," which is that Americans are not better off under President Barack Obama's tenure.

Barrasso criticized the president's handling of the economy, employment, stimulus, gasoline prices, and health care reform.

"President Obama says he deserves a grade of 'incomplete' on his handling of the economy," he said. "But people only ask for an incomplete when they know they're failing."

The Wyoming Republican said Obama was out of touch with business owners in his state.

"The President does not seem to appreciate or value the private sector," he said.

The theme has been central to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's argument, which he made on the campaign trail, such as a stop in Orange City, Iowa on Friday.

"If President Obama were re-elected, we would have four more years of the last four years," Romney said, arguing that Obama's policies would "not make America stronger."

Romney was to be on the campaign trail on Saturday in Virginia.

Another bagger running his mouth. When are these people going to admit that they have done all they can do and will continue to send this country down down the drain until they get the black guy out of office. They do not care about the good of the American People, they only care that money continues to filter into theirs and the wallets of the 1%. Absolutely disgusting how anyone can say I am an American and a Republican in the same breath, much less a patriot.

►"President Obama says he deserves a grade of 'incomplete' on his handling of the economy," he said. "But people only ask for an incomplete when they know they're failing."◄

FACT-CHECK!!! – This is a BIG LIE – When I was in college I got an "incomplete" in English until I handed in a paper – I was sick at the time the paper was due and once I handed my final paper in, I got an A – that's right, an "A" – Republicans need to keep their mouth SHUT because every time they open it, they put their foot in it!!

Hmm, that's impossible because 12,000,000 jobs will be created no matter WHO is in the WH – So that's DEAD!!!
And since this is true about the creation of jobs, then the American people look forward to EVERYTHING else
So the Republicans need to take that EMPTY RHETORIC from their mouth and put it right back up on the SHELF!!

    President Obama will offer
Like cutting the deficit by Besides, if that is the case about 12,000,000 jobs

Well! Republicans don't have a plan to make any progress for the economy. Romney/ Ryan will spend 4 years in white house repealing; cutting, eliminating whatever is good for average american and giving tax cut for wealthier like Romney.

The Senate broke the stride of the Obama administration's hoped-for march toward new tax breaks for small-business owners on July 12.

In what Democrats characterized as a partisan effort, the Senate, in a 53-to-44 vote, defeated a proposed 10-percent tax break in the Small Business Jobs and Tax Relief Act that would have encouraged new hires. The outcome of the final vote was largely attributed to a Republican-led filibuster. The bill needed 60 votes to survive the Senate.

    A Political Football
Elliott Richardson, president and executive director of the nonprofit Small Business Advocacy Council (an association with 540 small-business members), says the vote is "emblematic of what goes on in Washington when it comes to small businesses."

"Primarily, we're used as a political football," he adds. "You get a shot at a 10-percent tax break, and it's just a shame that political folks on both sides of the aisle can't come together and do the right thing."

    What Could Have Been
Had it passed, the Act stood to create as many as 1 million jobs,

Obama did inherit a poor economy as have others in our history! But he chose to focus on ,gay rights, food stamps, increasing to poverty level and ignored the jobs and economy and the "alright" middle class! He focused on what he wanted and not what the nation needed and now the American people will pay for it,....for a long time! Blame only goes for so long ..now this is Obamas legacy,I will not vote for him this time!

The Trouble Is the Republican don't know what reality really Is. They till thing giving the Rich more tax cut will Create Jobs ,but they have had Tax cuts now for eight years now and It haven't created any new Jobs. All the Rich Is doing Is putting the money they are saving from these tax cut In some over sea bank so they don't have to claim It and pay taxes on It. And the Republican have no clue about the Middle Class ,because they don't care. The Republican goal Is to Protect the RICH AND BIG BUSINESS and that It. And the people that will pay for this Is the Middle Class, the Poor and the Old. They want to go back to the BUSH policies that got America In the Trouble It In now, and America sure don't need that.

Here's some REAL reality. In the 4th qtr. of 07 the unemployment rate was 4.8%. It is now 8.1%. So regarding unemployment, 3 out of 100 Americans are worse off now than prior to Obama. More real reality. The stock market and everyone's investments have ONLY climbed since Obama walked thru the door. Corp. profits are now at an all time high. Simple logic says, if company is making good money with current staff, no need to hire more. If Fox news and all Repubs constantly spew gloom and doom their followers will not have the confidence to expand and hire. This was the "rights" plan all along. We have too many stupid people in this country to see and comprehend reality. This country will NEVER rebound. It's all downhill from here.

Let me put out a question to Barrasso and other hypocrite republicans in office and beyond.Where were you when all hell was breaking loose in this country under Bush, yah,I hear nothing from the peanut gallery, total silence don't I!!You're in the same boat as Bush your elustreous ignorent leader and what did you do,NOTHING!!You say you're patriotic, you wrap an American flag around yah and then you play dumb, that's the way its been with republicans since Hoovers days, the Great Depression he created, you help create catastrophes but won't help to clean them up will yah, point fingers like kids that got caught breaking a window, you got the rocks in your hand but as usual you claim innocence, complete incompetence, politically inept, just pathedic.Republicans, try cleaning up your own messes once in a while, were you like this as kids never cleaning up your rooms, bet so,but as usual bad traits as well as good ones are hard to correct, that goes for stupidity, that's inheriently clear that you haven't learned a thing from your past as losers, once a loser republicans always a loser...

Barrasso and the GOP/TP will notice on Nov 6th how the American people WILL criticized the CONGRESS for sabotaging the economy, employment, stimulus, gasoline prices, and health care reform...(and many more topics they did not work on!)
Throw the GOP/TP obstructionists out on all levels and give the President people to work with so we can finally move forward in big strides! The party of NO has to be voted to GO OUT of the way!! Money should not kill our democracy!! Hey, Mr. Romney, we want to see your tax-returns!

Four more years of the last four years. . . consistent, albeit slow job recovery (against the most aggressive opposition from the GOP in history), consistent stock market rise (from a low that was by all indications a "crash"), inclusion for minorities, a plan to continue to fund education and teachers . . .
I think I'll take it! NO to the GOP and NO to "Double Down on Trickle Down"!!!

  23. Romney Hood's a FRAUD

"If President Obama were re-elected, we would have four more years of the last four years," Romney said, arguing that Obama's policies would "not make America stronger."
    ----------------
LOL. Romney's making the assumption that America would re-elect the president and leave in place GOP control of the House! That's not going to happen. America has had enough suffering so that the GOP can "make Obama a one-term president". I think the GOP is trying to pull a play right out of the devil's playbook. They say that the devil's biggest trick was getting people to think he does not exist. I think the GOP is trying to pull the same trick when it comes to the economy. Surely, they are in control of the House AND have intentionally set out to block EVERYTHING Obama tried to do. Now, they want to pretend they did not exist!

The reality is that Obama tried to get a stronger stimulus package in place, and a jobs bill ... but these Tea Party hate-America slimeballs in Congress blocked it. Now they are blaming Obama for the economy. Get real.

The GOP said in 2002 that deficits don't matter. So with that in mind they asked themselves what to do. Well let's cut taxes on the wealthy people. Oh, and let's start an unfunded war in Iraq so we can make Haliburton even richer.

Boom, 2008 happens and the economy goes off a cliff.

Obama pulls us back from the cliff with the GOP trying as hard as they can to keep us at the edge.

Mitt says the deficit does matter, a lot, and he has a plan. What is the plan? You guessed it, slash even more taxes for the rich and bleep about starting another unfunded war in Iran.
