GOP hammers Obama 'reality' in weekly address

(CNN) - In the wake of the Democratic and Republican conventions, Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming said in the GOP weekly address that "it's time for rhetoric to meet reality," which is that Americans are not better off under President Barack Obama's tenure.

Barrasso criticized the president's handling of the economy, employment, stimulus, gasoline prices, and health care reform.

"President Obama says he deserves a grade of 'incomplete' on his handling of the economy," he said. "But people only ask for an incomplete when they know they're failing."

The Wyoming Republican said Obama was out of touch with business owners in his state.

"The President does not seem to appreciate or value the private sector," he said.

The theme has been central to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's argument, which he made on the campaign trail, such as a stop in Orange City, Iowa on Friday.

"If President Obama were re-elected, we would have four more years of the last four years," Romney said, arguing that Obama's policies would "not make America stronger."

Romney was to be on the campaign trail on Saturday in Virginia.

What have the Republicans brought to the table the past 3 years and 8 months?

    Obamacare repeal
    Defunding of Planned Parenthood
Restricting a woman's right to choose.

They have put a roadblock on many of Obama's nominees for cabinet positions and judges just for the sake of blocking

They refused to work on health care reform then cried that they were not involved in the process.

They went against things they have supported in the past.....Nuclear treaty with Russia, stimulus spending, tax breaks for the middle class etc.....

Their main goal was to make President Obama a one term President by putting the country at harm

Now the Republican Party is being taken over by narrow minded pig headed Tea Partiers who think they have all the answers.

Seriously America, if you want progress you can't vote in people who think they are right 100% of the time because nothing will get done.

Think about it....what if your boss stifled you at work so you couldn't grow so they could promote their buddy instead of you. Wouldn't that peeve you? But that is what exactly the Republicans are doing to Obama and independents out there are falling for it.

Don't cry to me when Romney disappoints you.

So if Romney gets elected he will inherit:

A economy that is growing jobs and not losing jobs
A stock market that is at pre recessions levels and not at 50% of them.
A thriving American auto industry and not one on the brink of disaster.

An unemployment rate that is more steady and not shooting up like a rocket
One war that is winding down and not two that aren't
A world without Bin Laden and many top al qaeda leaders killed.

So if Romney wins and doesn't meet all his promises will the likes of Four and the Door and myviews say he is a total failure? I doubt it.

President Obama said himself if he didn't get the job done he would be a one term president. Time to seize upon tht phrase. All rehtoric aside he had 4 years to turn it around. 89 million Americans capable of working can't find a job with millions giving up everyday. Despite what Clinton said President Reagan came into office with unemployment at 10.2%, double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, and a far deeper recession than Obama. He turned things around in his first term, with a Congress controlled by the dems, and we had 92 months of ecomomic growth. Mr. Obama you followed the oppisite course of President Reagan and you made it worse. You haven't earned another 4 years. We can't survive under your policies.

"The President does not seem to appreciate or value the private sector," he said. Z

There is no evidence anywhere to support this lie. None.

According to the GOP it is better to be locked in speeding car with no brakes hurtling towards a cliff than to be bruised and battered on the ground, having successfully jumped from the car. It may not seem like much to them, but sometimes merely surviving is an accomplishment.

This is a bunch of crap coming from the GOP when things are improving slowly for the better. if one has even a peanut size brain he/she will know rebuilding takes time especally when it hit unfathomable depth under a war mongering administration. How long it took for the World trade center to be rebuild after it was destroyed? How can we trust the other party that they will do better than when there is no proof of it?

Go ahead, vote for Mitt. But when you lose your civil rights and you are paying $2000 more in taxes because of his "plan to fix the economy" and the 1% gets that tax money, your sick child can't get health care because of pre-existing conditions and your college student not only can't get a job but has no health insurance, remember what you did!

    Well lessee,
Obama got "Obamacare passed of which is supposed to make health care more affordable. But Business isn't hiring enough people because they don't know what the liberals are going to saddle them with next. So Taxes are down the National Debt is going up. It is a shame that the Liberals don't think the Private Sector can take care of themselves so onwarw towards the Nanny State we march. Where do the liberals think the money comes from. Government Printing Offices? If no product is produced the money isn't worth the paper it is printed on. Why Obama doesn't understand this is beyond me.

Hmmmmm. Four more years of job gains rather than job losses exceeding 750,00 per month. Four more years of no new wars based on mistaken intellligence. Four more years of people with pre-existing conditions able to obtain healthcare. To hell with all of that crap, give me the old Bush days back.

The president is president of 325 million people, not just of the 3,500,000 wealthiest Americans. He admires financial success as much as the next man, but he will not kiss their behinds. He will not simply watch them bludgeon the other 99 % into degradation by slashing programs and siphoning off what wealth they have.
