Hustler magazine offers $1 million for a different type of exposure

(CNN) - A magazine known for its sexually explicit material is offering a reward of $1 million dollars for a different type of bare-all expose.

The publisher of Hustler magazine, Larry Flynt, is offering the sum for the skinny on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's financials, the magazine announced.

- Check out the CNN Electoral Map and Calculator and game out your own strategy for November.

It is taking out full-page advertisements in two newspapers - The Washington Post on Sunday, and USA Today on Tuesday - "offering up to a million dollars in cash for documented evidence concerning Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships," a press release from the magazine read.

Flynt's announcement could be seen as either an attempt to keep the issue of Romney's financial documents alive or put himself - and his magazine - in headlines.

Romney has released his tax returns for 2010 and an estimate of his 2011 tax liability, but has repeatedly said he would not release additional years, saying it would be fodder for Democrats to criticize him.

In recent months, various political figures, including some Republicans, have called for more transparency from Romney.

Earlier in the week, an anonymous online poster claimed it was holding stolen tax documents belonging to Romney ransom for $1 million in an internet currency. Should the sum not be paid by later this month, the posting said a key to unlock the documents would be released publicly, while the financial firm from which the documents were allegedly stolen said there is "no evidence of unauthorized access to our data."

Why are we even giving this SLIME BALL, who is a promoter of the most vile type of media. He is like a malignant ass wart. He needs attention, but he shouldn't get it from decent folks. Please just ignore this waste of space...

Nostalgia. I fondly remember President Clinton's impeachment. Hustler offered a $25K reward for Republican (and Democratic) mistresses. The first to collect was a former mistress of the GOP in charge of the proceeding, Henry Hyde. The next month another came out. Republicans were begging Hyde to end the impeachment before their hypocrisy was exposed. Someone knows something and it could get interesting. Got to love politics.

Larry Flynt could be responsible for saving America from Romney.... This whole G.O.P. fiasco gets more surreal every day.

Go Larry – you were the first to win a great battle over freedom of speech. Go after our right to know what lies and fraud Romney is hiding....while he can still be exposed for the nothingness he is.

So, the magazine is essentially offering a bounty for thieves to go and steal information?!?!?

My questions, then, is this: Would the magazine be complicit in any potential theft? And would Department of Justice (under the leadership of the Obama administration) actually bring a case against the magazine...or even the thieves themselves?

My guess....Obama's politics will pave the way for thieves to steal the information, and get away with it. Chicago politics at its best.

This isn't the "change" and "hope" we need.

I don't think that there will be anyone who will be providing that. That would be so many levels of wrong. This isn't to say that I don't want to see it; I do want to see it.

Understand that Mitt and Ann are having one heck of a fight over this. One of them wants to take Larry up on his offer, the other says to hold out until he offers more.

Now U know why Jesus Christ called it, "Unrighteous riches." Even the world calls it, "the FILTHY rich!" Has anyone of them (unrighteous or filthy) ever became president? I wonder!! Now U also know why Jesus said, "I'm no part of the world." and the same for his followers! The world with their own understanding will decide who is going to solve their problems not christ. One thing for sure, time is alnost up!!!

I have a feeling that we will get an October surprise after Romney release his 2012 tax returns. I do not know hat Mr. Romney and his team is thinking. Not releasing his tax returns will end up being a bigger issue than what is in those tax returns.

Hustler magazine, hustling Mitt Romney. Ironic?

Even if the claim by the 'anonymous online poster' is not real, this kind of reward may entice others to gain access to the Romneys information to get the money. Hustler magaine gets the publicity either way, and if they get the information then they can get more publicity by posting it in their magazine, and/or by diseeminating it to other news organizations. But im not sure how legal or ethical that might be.
If the 'anonymous online poster' ends up posting the information, then it still gets out there, and hustler still gets publicity for this stunt. Or maybe Huslter can just pay the online poster themselves.
Seems like Hustler wins in most scenarios. The people demanding Romneys records win in most scenarios. Basically everyone but Romney wins.

How bad does the information contained in the records have to be for Romney to be willing to put up with all these possible problems?!?

Why wouldn't Mr. Romney release his tax returns for the past 10 years and put a stop to all these???

However, he has no SHAME ASKING FOR OUR VOTES.

Hmmm...If this guy was offering more money for information about Obama, CNN and the rest of the liberal propagandist media, would be up in arms attacking Flynt. However, when it concerns Romney, CNN loves and encourages it. Tip: Keep showing your liberal bias and continue to see low ratings.
