Romney, Ryan remember victims of September 11

(CNN) - Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee, and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, released the following statements Tuesday, the eleventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Mitt Romney
“Eleven years ago, evil descended upon our country, taking thousands of lives in an unspeakable attack against innocents. America will never forget those who perished. America will never stop caring for the loved ones they left behind. And America shall remain ever vigilant against those who would do us harm. Today we again extend our most profound gratitude to our brave troops who have gone into battle, some never to return, so that we may live in peace. On this most somber day, those who would attack us should know that we are united, one nation under God, in our determination to stop them and to stand tall for peace and freedom at home and across the world.”

Paul Ryan
“Eleven years ago today, from Capitol Hill, I could see the smoke rising from the fires burning in the Pentagon. Like all Americans, I will never forget the moment that our homeland came under attack. For me, this is a day to remember those who perished on that day of terror, including the first responders. It is also a day to pay tribute to all those who have worked quietly and tirelessly both on the home front and abroad to prevent a repetition of such terrible events. And it is a day to give honor to those in our military who have sacrificed so much, including their lives, for the same end. Their courage and heroism and willingness to answer the call of duty have kept America safe and strong and free. We are truly the home of the brave.”

America forever stands against the forces of evil and tyranny. A shining beacon to all those who wish to be free. And though times may seem dark, we will all stand together as one in a time of need. We will never forget what happened on this day.

Paul Ryan was also quoted as saying, "After the attack on 911, i was almost motivated to join the armed services; but i realized it was my place to stay in upper Wisconsin and defend my Congressional district. I encourage everyone else to join the service and continue to keep my district and family safe". Mitt Romney added, "I encourage all children who cannot afford to go to college, and yhose whose parents do not have the resources to lend you money to start up your own business, to please join the armed services. We need you for when i get into office and declare wars on Iran and Russia. Without you we may need to begin a draft, and that would be very bade for my re-election in 2016. Thank God".

Sorry lying boys, but I don't believe one thing coming out of mouth. Not even a eulogy or remembrance to anyone anywhere.
Go back to your holes. I know this is a day with no lying ads from your campaign but go back to that $3.9M mansion in VT and continue to pretend you are going to win anything except a kick back to CA and your elevator car mansin.

So now after all the bashing they decide to acknowledge our troops. Too late. Romney doesn't think the troops are important – he said so himself.

Hopefully he will remember the victims of 9-11, but he sure forgot the soldiers and the war in Afghanistan we are fighting as a result of the terrorist attack. In that Mittens has 46% support at this point boggles the mind.

Mittens should stay home. He lacks sincerity, compassion, and the ability to tell the truth.

Let's all politicize 9/11, shall we, particularly a man and his minion who never served a day in uniform defending his country.

I hope Mittens points out, that unlike Bush who ignored the warnings leading up to 9-11, that gave us the terrorist attack 8 months into the Bush presidency, that President Obama has kept us safe.

Mr. Romney just can't help himself from pandering, can he? He just can't NOT make 9/11 about him or his newest talking point "one nation under God" ... what a disgusting specimen of mankind Mitt Romney has become. Or always has been, depending on one's viewpoint and knowledge of this man.

Not politics- Obama is using the dead of 9/11 to get in some free campaign snipes at Romney. I say free being important to Obama because he will put the leftover of the campaign into his personal accounts like his previous campaign for president, so that why I said "using the dead of 9/11". Not even terrorists have used the dead of 9/11 for their personal gain. Barack Obama is greedy.

  19. Lyin Ryan should be an Olympian

These two can go take a long walk off a short pier. Especillay today. One (Willard) said it's not worth moving heaven and earth to get OBL. Ask OBL if he's better off today than he was four years ago. The other clown (Lyin Ryan) voted AGAINST the 9/11 First Responders bill. The last thing either of these frauds should be doing today is trying to show how "patriotic" they are.
And to boot, Willard the clown needs to show us 10 years of returns. While our brave men and women are serving in harms way, he's sheltering his money to avoid paying for war that he wants/wanted.

If there were a day of no campaigning it should be today, from BOTH parties. May the loved ones who perished in those atrocities rest in peace and be remembered in the hearts of family and friends and and the world.

  23. Facts don't LIE

and if they could get away with it I bet they would blame that on Obama too. What's even sadder is if they did there are some who would believe them.

Or maybe the GOP can pack a bunch of seniors on a plane and crash it into buildings. Hmmm.
