Video: Campaign rhetoric toned down for 9/11

(CNN) - On the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney shook hands with first responders in Chicago, and at the National Guard Association Convention he criticized Pentagon budget cuts which would come with the so-called "fiscal cliff." CNN's Jim Acosta reports.

Unlike republicans, I do not fear Muslims, ACA, poor people, seniors, minorities, workers, college students, gays, women, environmentalists, veterans. Heck, I don't even fear Fox foreign owned media, the American Taliban party of republicans, Hannity, Beck, or Rush. I don't like pythons in the Everglades, though..

Romney "shook hands with first responders in Chicago". He should have stopped there, but no, he had to go into his
ususal criticisms of something. This was not the time, nor the place, but the guy will always put himself first.
    Really sad.

It's what they have done for 2 years. They will continue.

The rhetoric has not calmed down. Most of the republicans are attacking the President today on 9/11. What a disgrace the republicans are!

Does the twit and his staffers now that the boy toy voted against health care for the first responders again and again?
I just heard that after being against Obamacare for months, then for certain provisions, the ones already in place (pre existing conditions, which he thinks people just have to take better care of themselves as if cancer was something people want) or coverage for children until age 26 or closing the donut hole for seniors (to the tune of an average of $3K) HE IS NOW AGAINST IT AGAIN!!!!!!!
His campaign pert much tells folks that you need to go out and buy your own insurance to make sure you are somehow covered. Are these people zombies? No, never ind, zombies think clearer.

But I fear people like you, who describe people who do not believe in the same things as you do the enemy and talibans. We have seen today what the people who call themselves peace loving can do, in Egypt and kill in Libya.

I never realized that Republicans in America were so unhappy. Their vitriolic responses to any Democrat has grown harsher over the years. With the election of President Obama they have gone ballistic. Why? President Obama at his worst cannot hold a candle to the mess George W. Bush left behind. If you people would at least own this, I could take you seriously. The homogenized America you dream about is gone, gone, gone. We are a nation of many and each one of us should be allowed to reach our full potentials without your moldy hatred.

No political commercials today, both parties PROMISED, so David Axelrod goes on TWITTER to attack republicans, oh well it's not the first time the democrats conveniently forgot a PROMISE.

They toned it down? Romney was war-mongering and hate-mongering before midnight.

Romney is a knee-jerk, hot-head reactionary. He never thinks. The stopped to think one time, and never started again. Romney is NOT what we need with a finger on that button.

Vote Dem 2012. NO MORE HOT-HEADS IN THE WHITE HOUSE EVER.
