BREAKING: Obama condemns attacks in Libya

(CNN) – President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned the attack that killed U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya.

"The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these acts," the president said, vowing justice for the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

"We will not waiver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done," he added.

Stevens "died in a country that's still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war."

Obama will visit the State Department after his remarks at The White House, according to a release from his office.

How about this jerk Mitt, (YUK) standing there in front of the flags like he is the President. Instead of standing with America and the President, he is still on his losing campaign path bad mouthing the President. Can not wait until Obama WINS!
Send Mitt off back to the hills of Utah! Mitt don't fit in my home! I tired, I was his convention, I tried to give him the chance and all he is did was wipe that slate clean! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012

I cannot believe you guys want Romney censored – just to protect your empty-suit of a president. When the dens and Obama were attacking Bush in the middle of wars, to you that was fine. Now, when Obama's ineptitude becomes too apparent, you blame Romeny? Are you self-deluded to the extent that you have lost all ability to reason?!

Romney, you Sir as of today have lost this election. I would be so not proud to have a heartless, judgmental, greedy and empty shell of a person ever represent anyone in the USA. Please go back to your crazy controlling world of destroying businesses and jobs for your huge profits. Someone will catch you in a mistake someday and take all your money.

Romney blew it again. He's an amateur and the electorate knows it.

Romney has stuck his foot squarely in his mouth once again – but this time on a global stage and in regard to foreign policy that can affect national security.

Romney has no idea what he is doing. He is a loose cannon, bowing to any desperate idea-of-the-moment that his pathetic advisory team instructs him to carry out. He may have just lost the election today.

Thank goodness we have a strong President. He has gotten Bin Laden and Khadafy and all the top Al-Queda.

But we know the job will never be over.

    Go get em' President Obama.

At least we have a President who cares about foreign policy and our military, unlike his challenger who insulted our military at the convention.

Mitt Romney is calling Obama out. There is no foreign policy directive. We all should feel terrible for the position Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is in. When you watch '2016', you clearly understand the Obama administrations direction of taking the United States down the path it is heading.

Romney is beginning to look desperate. It would be wise for him to focus on the economy and not foreign policy where he makes himself look more like G.W. Bush every day. Nobody wants a repeat of that kind of foreign policy.

There seems to be a lack of security at the consulates. Again, this administration lacks an urgency to protect Americans in service. No ambassador should be killed overseas. The Middle East is not our friend and citizens of the USA should be protected!

I can't wait until Obama has to eat all of his apologies he is constantly making on American's behalf. Wolf in sheeps clothing that has dupped all the lemmings....follow your immoral leader and keep bowing....

This is the most lowest I ever seen a candidate will go. In fact, I think if Romney is left uncheck he will drive us into another war...Romney has really shown how desperate he is in wanting to win an election. In a day of national morning for 9/11, he chose in his speech to include controversal topics like the sequester, Iran, Israel..etc. Who the hell wants to talk about anything else but what happen on 9/11 and how we are healing since then. What is wrong with this fool! And now last night, he double down on his insensitivety. Before the news even went public of the death of the diplomat, or even BEFORE the president had a chance to comment, ROmney chose to take a upper edge by criticizing the killing of the diplomat in Libya at 10pm last night, before the public even heard about it...What makes it worse is that Romney is spewing a misguided value of the American people. He keeps saying the president is apologizing for american values. What the hell is he talking about? Our values are freedom of speech, but not religious intolerance Mr. Romney. ANd his comments are dousing the fire with more carosene. What a non-presidential dude. Before the Olympics got on the way, this is the same guy who critisized the hosting country that the security is of concern...
Romneys comment about the middles may actually cause the death of the diplomat because he fuel the issue before anything had really happened...

This was a disgraceful response by Romney, trying to politicize a national tragedy. Can you imagine if a leading Democrat had critized Bush after 9-11.

Romney proved in the last 24 hrs. that he is ill prepared to be president. He should go back to putting people out of work which he seems to very well.

Mr. Romney's time would be better spent keeping his mouth shut for fear he personally escalate the current Libya discord single handidly. Everytime he opens his mouth it has consequences.

I think I'll apologize to the world that I am an AMERICAN. Cause we should all be made to feel bad for our own beliefs and values. Sounds like the way a LIBERAL thinks these days. Romney 2012.

Romney is grabbing at anything that can put him up and Obama down - even if he would have handled the situation the same. I hear the rattling of a sword with Romney - yes a WAR will get us out of our financial problems. He doesn't get it - Americans are sick of wars, soldiers dying and policing the world.

  19. Is romney dumb?

seriously? Romney statement really indicated how America not only will be a poor nation with his presidential election and budget control but also indicates America will intervene in foreign affair policy when its not needed and create another unwanted WAR.. Just like BUSH. Go Romney.. you not only will kill lots of people with your stupid ideology but also empower your personal revenue, who cares about other people. All you care now is your own agenda not the people's need.. Good job Republicans for nominating Romney Ryan..

It is simple, Romney commented on a comment without knowing the facts...AGAIN he thinks all americans think like his republican sheep hurd...

This just proves how out of touch Romney is with the American public.
Vote for Obama, he is the better of the two.

Regarding the ridiculus press conference that Romney just held. My Grandmother's words prevail.
"When some one shows you who they are, believe them". Romney is showing why he should not be president. Thanks to the entire Romney campaign. Go get em Mitt!

Romney is absolutely out of line. He is not informed enough to run his mouth. He's making a huge mistake babbling as if he represents our country.

What did Mitt want? Us to go in guns blazing to rectify the situation? This is how wars start or does he not realize that. The man is stupid and lies through out his campaign. I pray that the American people see him for the person he is. The man is scary.

My deepest condolences to families of American diplomats. I think we sometimes forget all the dangerous places that Americans work in. I tend to suspect this was more than simple mob violence – more likely a deliberate attack using the mob as cover. Americans really do need to stand together such things.
