(CNN) – President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned the attack that killed U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya.
"The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these acts," the president said, vowing justice for the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
"We will not waiver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done," he added.
Stevens "died in a country that's still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war."
Obama will visit the State Department after his remarks at The White House, according to a release from his office.

Also, it does say Romney issued his statement before news of the Ambassadors death came out. Read the article people, he was condemning a foreign policy stance, not talking about an ambassadors life. At least he is not apologizing to these murders for offending them.
Mitt raised an important and germane point; in the case of murder by an angry Islamic mob that coincidentally occurred on 9/11, the first concern of the President and the upper echelons of the administration should not be politically correct spin about how we understand the anger of the mob. The President should be acting firmly and aggressively in condemning the attacks and the foreign government officials that allowed it to happen. If you still don't think we're at war, think again.
Thank you Mr. President. I also urge everyone to go to the State Department website and read Sec. Clinton's statement. My prayers go out to the families of the Ambassador and the staff members who were killed.

A leader waits until all the facts are available and the impact of one’s words can be more fully assessed. In speaking out before he was fully aware of the situation on the ground, Governor Romney chose the path of the impulsive politician rather that the road taken by a measured leader—and all in the quest of political gain. This just shows how inept Romney will be.
I never really listened to this dude talk but I caught him this morning and I couldn't believe what he was saying. These people were just murdered and your going to try to gain a political advantage on there backs just DISGUSTING. I would NEVER want to be known for voting for this guy. Obama didn't even make the statement and the statement wasn't even wrong to say it was true. Maybe republicans should re-think there nominee.

Does Romney really want to return to the same 'bull in a china shop' approach to diplomatic relations that plagued the Bush administration and jeapordized U.S. standing in the global community? There is a difference between interjecting sanity while expressing condemnation and basically saying that the U.S. is better than everyone at everything and universally infallible and expecting the rest of the world to just smile and nod.

Nobody apologized to anyone. The statement from the Embassy in Cairo was issued 6 hours BEFORE the attack, so how could it be an apology?

Except the chronology of events proves that Mittens was drumming up another lie. The statements made by the embassy condemning the vile and hateful islamaphobe movie came BEFORE BEFORE BEFORE the attacks had occurred. And yet, Mittens and the GOP/Teatrolls criticize those statements by saying that they were made in response to the attacks? THAT IS WHAT IS CALLED A LIE LIE LIE. Obama did act firmly and aggressively in condemning the attacks. He just happened to wait for the attacks to happen before doing so because, well, that's how the physics of the space-time continuum work. REALITY. GET SOME.
Romney needs to sit down and shut up. In another hour he will have forgotten what he said. I AM NOT FOR OUR TROOPS GOING TO WAR AGAIN. They are tired, physically ill, mentally ill and need time to rest and recuperate. This needs to be handled with diplomacy and sanctions. When Romney and his 5 sons are ready to physically pick up a gun and put on the uniform of our soldiers then I may be willing to allow my sons to fight again.
