Washington (CNN) - One week past the conventions, a flood of polls have been released in crucial battleground states in the race for the White House. And some of them paint a picture that looks more favorable to President Barack Obama than to Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
The polls do have some things in common. They're all of the smaller pool of likely voters and all were conducted after the close of last week's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

'Battleground polls: Is Romney's path to the White House now more difficult?'
If by "more difficult" you mean "completely roadblocked," then yes, "more difficult."

The more I listen to Mr Romney say how bad the president is and how America is in such bad shape I donate more money to mr Obama. Get out and vote America for our current president. The fact that they bring absolutely nothing to the table except calling Obama a liar and that he hates his country is just flat out disgusting.
I won't lie and say the polls suggesting a rise for the president don't make me happy, but I'm not confident enough to take these numbers for granted. We must get out and vote or this country is doomed and besides, I really can't take Willard and his lying sidekick much longer.
G.I. Joe was right when he said this madness has got to stop, and stop it will on November 6, 2012 when we vote to re-elect our current president for a second term.
Please vote responsibly and vote Obama/Biden 2012 because the alternative (R/R) is just too dangerous.

Willard and the Grand Obstructionist Party are getting really desperate. As an independent I vote for both parties candidates and will continue doing so. This time round I'm still waiting to hear ANYTHING of substance – or anything the even remotely resembles non-flip flopping concrete – from these GOP candidates.
- The Ryan tax plan is a total joke. Completely driven by the 20% cut it espouses, yet completely UNFUNDED and (according to independent sources) add $1.5 TRILLION to the deficit in the first year.
- How does Mittens intend to create 12 million jobs in his first term???
- Which tax loopholes do they plan to close that do not weigh heavily toward the middle-class picking up the tab?
- Their proposed Medicare voucher program once again shifts the burden to the individual as the insurance companies will continue profiting from the privatization, which is what they want.
- Increase Defense spending to create a "strong" America.. what exactly does that mean other than more BILLIONS handed to the military-industrial complex.
None of the above are workable, nor balance the budget, reduce the deficit and national debt. The fiscal cliff is looming!
Instead of behaving like a couple of small rat terriers and constantly attacking the President and blaming him for everything, when are the American people going to hear some REAL platform and plans??? Trust us, does not cut it!
Until that time, I have no respect for a pair of yapper's buzzing around looking for the next Obama target.

Expect Romney to lie EVEN MORE; to thrash around clumsily even more; make vile, unsubstantiated, personal, "dog-whistle-like" attacks against the President.
In response to Romney`s lack of specific plans and his CONTINUED reluctance to provide 10 years worth of State & Federal Income tax returns AND Record from those secretive, off-shore [Swiss & Cayman Island] bank accounts , expect more Independent, thinking voters to cast their votes for President Obama.
The more America sees of Romney's judgment and leadership, the further he gets from winning.
No doubt these polls were anticipated by the Romney camp. And to counter the dismal numbers, he purposely chose to use the tragedy of Tuesday's events to try and prove his manhood.
One thing is certain, this man calling himself Mitt Romney has no scruples or dignity whatsoever.

More difficult? He is NEVER going to be anything more than he is right an immoral, no character, lying cheat.
He was already losing ground but this week he has proven that he will sell his own mother, and maybe that useless campaign wife of his, to win at all costs. He reeks of desperation and trying to look presidential on a night when our Lybian Embassy was attacked and American and Lybian lives were lost is past anything any decent human being could use for his own gain!
He is past pandering to the religious right wing zealots. He is using lies after lies against the President and he still doesn't understand that most of the US is not listening to him anymore. The President and Secretary of State Clinton are trying to quell the attacks on our embassies and our citizens who are in harms way. This cretin is too involved in only himself to realize that he is doing to fuel the fire! God forbid he and that other lying moron who thinks we care about what he thinks of this non character man get anywhere near the White House!!!

America had the opportunity to get a glimpse of what it would be like if Romney was president and he got that 3:00am phone call. And judging from his reaction and response to this week's tragedy, he is NOT capable of handling a major crisis.
Romney's path to the white house should be impossible if all people are paying attention.
Even the pollsters admit that the key in this election will be turnout Despite the feeble nature of Romney's campaign, his lack of statesman ship, his failure to explain his economic plan, and the incessant lies told by his running mate, unless Democrats go to the polls and vote, Romney could pull it off.
So glad I have the privilege of voting in a swing state.

Don't get out the pom-poms just yet....remember R&R just started campaigning. Obama has been campaigning for 4 years now and only leads by a slight percentage just days after his convention. He's in big trouble and he knows it. That's why he's campaigning while Rome is burning.

This man is now partially responsible for the growing flames in the middle east. I would have welcomed an apology from the prez if it would bring back the lives of those needlessly lost (I'm sure their families would also). But Mitt wants to fan the flames, maybe get World War III started. Not fit to run for presidentt (or any office), not fit to be an American. And I'm certain some will cry FREEDOM OF SPEECH!. And they are correct. You can say anything you want to in this country, however, what you say may have consequences. Kind of like you dont stand up in a crowed theater and scream fire without probably getting to talk to a Judge afterward if people are injured or killed.
Why don't these Rs just shut up! We are all Americans......stand up and beside our leaders instead of making poliical hay. Mitt and Ryan look absolutely ridiculous and the world is watching!
