Battleground polls: Is Romney's path to the White House now more difficult?

Washington (CNN) - One week past the conventions, a flood of polls have been released in crucial battleground states in the race for the White House. And some of them paint a picture that looks more favorable to President Barack Obama than to Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

The polls do have some things in common. They're all of the smaller pool of likely voters and all were conducted after the close of last week's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Is Romney's path to the White House more difficult? Is Romney trailing in most of the battleground states? Is this a stupid question?

While we were mourning our losses, the republicans were having a "family values hate-fest". SHAME ON THE REPUBLICANS. THEY ARE UN-AMERICAN.

Regardless of the amount of insanely ignorant, illiterate, inbred, delusional, racist right-wingers that comment on the Ticker, there just aren't enough of them (thankfully) to ever help Willard Romney get into the White House.

This nation is a nation of forward moving intelligent thoughtful dignified peace loving compassionate people to a very large extent. So no matter what anyone including Neocons and the self misguided GOP ultra conservatives say,America remains the greatest, the most respected and the most loved world wide. Therefore, conservatives should realise that America has sacrificed enough of her children to senseless violence and unnecessary wars.Neocons must stop pushing our nation into wars and confrontation by their self-serving rhetorics that enhance the dangers that our children, our brothers and sisters face abroad. In this present situation when our people should rally together behind our fallen heroes and our present and pray for those still abroad,we have people who think they must win this election by default, use our present situation to their political advantage. At this time when thoughtful precise actions are needed to se cure the safety of our people and to bring to justice those who have killed our loved ones and hurt us so unjustly, we have those who are desperate to score political points and rush us to war;just because in their minds, this works to their political advantage. These actions and many others beg for the question,Do these people truely love America and her children? Moreso who truly is behind this sudden uproar of violence ?Are these orchestrated attempts brewed from within, exported abroad with the intent to derail and distract us and steal the election from the people. Afterall they jumped up almost immediately jubilating and spoke such ill about our President in ways they have not handled any previousPresident in a similar situations
Neither Ryan nor Romney has ceased to spin and spu their lies which have continued to work to their disadvantage. Inspite of the billions their billionaire sponsors have poured into theirself centered intents and ideologies to deceive the peace loving hardworking people of this Blessed Nation American, we are not fools. We are resolute to stand with and by those true leaders who will propel us positively forward. America must move FORWARD. America must not be moved back to those days of senseless fear when we lived day by day by the color of amber, red white or green light. We overcame.
Our children fought and won. May the Good Lord surround every American child, man or woman with His eternal shield that the turmoil of this present day will not come near them. May they find absolute peace in the mist of this turmoil
May the Almighty God continue to guide our President, our vice President and all those in positions of leadership as they make crucial and salient decisions, AMEN. GOD BLESS OUR NATION, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA .Amen and amen and amen!!!

The answer is yes. Mr. Romney is showing that he is not quite ready to be President. His campaign is falling victim to the arm of his party that is out of touch with Americans. He is also showing us that he has little respect for those who are not in the 1%. Yes jobs are gone, many are employed in entry level positions or are earning low wages. Think about how that happened. The jobs went overseas. Those looking for work do not have the skills they need because there are no training programs to help them acquire new skills. They cannot borrow money form their parents or take out a loan to get that schooling or training. The CEO's and Bank Presidents are not providing that training either and Mr. Romney falls in that category. Bet his children did not have to borrow from their parents or take out loans to go to school!

  10. "Rob-me" Romney and "Lyin" Ryan

Romney's path to the White House is blocked by the rational, well-informed independent voters. It's hard to understand how the billionaires who bought Romney could underestimate the American people so badly. Did they really think everybody would be as poorly-informed as the radical Republican base? How did they make their money with such poor assessments of the "market"? We see Romney as a fake who has no platform. We see the Republican party as a group of extremists representing the most extreme elements of the right-wing. I'm amused at how Romney is trying to find women for hs photo ops. Does he also consider them stupid enough to accept his message?

"they all were of the smaller pool of likely voters and were done right after the Democratic convention..." Now now, CNN,watch out, your Republican slip is showing. Trying to deflect from the fact that Romney's figures didn't rise AT ALL 'right after the Republican convention"??

  14. Palin Power

We NEED Sarah Palin as our next President instead of Mittens and Obozo. She has vastly superior values, principles, morals, integrity over this flip-flopping RINO. Mittens can not beat Obozo, only Sarah Palin can.

    Palin 2016!

Yes it is not only more difficult but damn near impossible. He said ( and upset the US closest and longest syanding ally The Uk tha the London olympics were not well prepared. The result has shown:-
    a) how bad his judgment on the Olmpics was
    b) also how bad his diplomatic and foreign policy skills are
So now he gone back stage to Let ryan doo an even worse job on the critique of Obama's foreign policy.
If they have any brains at all they will back of these attacks which are making them big time losers.
    Regards,
    Hodgson.

Paul Ryan says "it wouldn't hurt,if voters knew more of those little things that reveals a man's heart and his character".According to polls, more than 60% of Americans agree with him. They want to see him honour his father's memory and release 12 years of tax,not make his father look like he was some fool for saying,"two years could be a fluke".Till then,I think it will keep getting difficult for Gov. Romney.
