Obama touts his record on China

Cincinnati, OH (CNN) - The presidential campaign took on an international tone on Monday with both sides criticizing the other’s record on trade relations with China.

Just hours after the Romney campaign released a new ad promising to “crack down on cheaters like China,” President Obama announced at an outdoor rally here that his administration is launching a new enforcement action against China with the World Trade Organization (WTO) for providing illegal subsidies on automotive exports.

I guess none of this was worth Obama doing prior to election time? Oh yeah, he was too busy golfing, campaigning and raising money for the last year. And as he says, the private sector is doing fine so why would he need to do this?

    Obama, the ILLUSION of action.

The only record Obama has on China is the record amount of money borrowed from them under his administration.

Mitt Romney's record on China can be measured by how many jobs he created there.

I suppose that it would surprise to you learn that we borrow more from Japan and England than we do from China. Nothing changes the fact that spending has increased by only 1.4% since 2009. We have a serious revenue problem, despite right wing denials to the contrary.

We've had one ever since Bush became the first POTUS in US history to start a major war and not raise taxes to pay for it. Bush cut taxes, instead. Amazingly, he did it again. He implemented a bigger tax cut, and started an even bigger war! Yeah, we most definitely have a revenue problem.

Which he'll drop later when the Chinese ask him, "So you think you can live without us buying your debt silly rabbit?"

Obama, the empty suit that the Chinese know is empty.

So Obama is taking action after Romney has already taken action "Just hours after the Romney campaign released a new ad promising to “crack down on cheaters like China."

Same as Hurrican Isaac, Romney visited the victims first then Obama followed Romney's action.

Now that Romney says what he would do then Obama announces he will do the same as Romney but because he is the current president Obama can get it done now and not wait for a re-election. Romney on the other hand has to wait to be elected President to take this action.

Obama is just waiting to see what Romney will promise so he can do it first.

Perfectly within character if you look back at the way Obama was Reid and Pelosi's little puppet for the first two years.
It now appears Obama has found a new puppetmaster with Romney. Obama hasn't had an original idea in his life. He's always stealing others ideas or accomplishments and claiming they are his.

    ------
So what's Obama's solution? Raise taxes on the "rich"?? Yeah, OK... that MIGHT increase revenue by $40 billion a year against a budget deficit of $1.4 Trillion.

Yeah, we most definitely have a spending problem.

We the dumb Americas! He's evolved on china, Latino immigration, gay right, etc.. All in election year? Imagine any of us performing this way 4 years in a row at our new job? Then we ask the BOSS, I made the right decisions, I know you don't see it, but TRUST ME.. 4 years is NOT long enough? I'm sure we will get another 5 years at it? Yet we are thinking this? Crazy!

I can only assume that truth and myview missed the part where Obama says (and it is true) that this was been an ongoing thing. If, for no other reason than the fact that you can't just throw together complaints overnight.

"I guess none of this was worth Obama doing prior to election time? "

Is that why the agreements and progress he's made with China prior to now have reduced China's currency undervaluation by 20% so far? Pretending all that he's done simply doesn't exist may help you sleep at night, but it makes for big fat lying in your posts.

"The only record Obama has on China is the record amount of money borrowed from them under his administration.'

And getting them to reduce the undervaluation of their currency from approximately 28% undervalued to 7% and counting. Not to mention many other things that haven't really gotten much press and which you AND THE MSM conveniently ignore in order to help Mittens sell this inaccurate narrative.

  21. The REAL Truth...

@myviewis – Obama is just waiting to see what Romney will promise so he can do it first.
    -----------------------------
And this is any different than Willard's approach – attack dog style ??
FACT – The Obama administration has initiated and sustained more than 6 different actions against China during his tenure. That information is conveniently forgotten as it's election year "open season". This is simply more right wing at the character approach.. that does not convince any intelligent American to vote Republican. In fact, just the opposite. Willard's campaign is toast, he know's and is getting desperate to attack the POTUS on anything and everything. Shame is there are plenty of red state knuckle-dragging lemmings that will believe this putrid flatulence.

Remember the blind Chinese legal activist, Chen Guangcheng , who was at the center of a diplomatic tussle between Obama and Beijing? The long drawn out resolutioncame shortly after Hillary arrived in Beijing to "apologize for a Chinese citizen's entering" the US Embassy. Now that's progress..., in Obama's eyes.

Now I'm convinced most of Willard's supporters are not of legal age to vote. "First" what is this grade school?
Willard is only pandering (as usual) because he knows he has NO intention of upsetting his buddies in China.

Now where are those tax returns so we can see just how much he's helped China DESTROY the U.S.?
