(CNN) – Mitt Romney received his first intelligence briefing Monday, less than one week after criticizing the president over the attacks on U.S. diplomatic posts in Egypt and Libya.
His campaign confirmed that the Republican nominee took part in the briefing at an FBI building in Los Angeles following a campaign event.

Romney's team did not say who in the national intelligence community provided the briefing.
CNN reported Thursday that Romney would start receiving the updates this week - a customary measure in the latter stages of a general election campaign for presidential challengers, regardless of which party is in power.
Romney took heat last week for releasing a highly charged political statement against the Obama administration before all the facts were known about the attacks overseas. He doubled down on his criticism in the aftermath of the violence.
– CNN's Ashley Killough, Jim Acosta, and Rachel Streitfeld contributed to this report.

Can we expect MItt now to display more intelligence than he did last week?
What?! Thought his campaign was over?! Lol!
After is fanning of the flames in the Middle East, the debacle of his european tour, this man should not be trusted with any secret information. Obama 2012! The only TRUSTED way to go.
Lord bless us, we need to put up with this FRAUD toll November, what a nasty GOP thugs...
As Mitt the Twit's September surprise on Libya showcased, Myth needs a briefing on intelligence.
As he is woefullly inadequate in the area of intelligence.
Ok this is an oxymoron...Robney intelligence Briefing, I don't have the strength to comment on this one it speaks for it self.....OBAMA BIDEN 2012
This dope cannot be trusted with classified information. He will just sell it to FOX for profit.
There's going to be trouble in this town when Romney the dry-snitch is given sensitive intel. Watch what I tell ya.
This does not seem like a good idea.
How long before Mitt reveals classified info thinking it will help him politically?
intelligence and Romney dont belong in the same sentence.
No amount of briefings will make this guy or his running mate intelligent.
Giving Mittens an intelligence briefing is a waste of time. It might make more sense to bring in a bowling ball, because it would be smarter than Mittsy.
I think our country needs to be very frightened that Romney is receiving this information! He has shown he can't be trusted! He may release secrets for political purposes! We all need to be very scared!
►Romney has first intelligence briefing◄
Oh well, this should shut him up from now until November or NOT! I guarantee you something slips out before it's over.

How can you put the word "intelligence" and "Mitt Romey" in the same sentence? Isn't that an oxymoron?
This is wrong. What if he's not elected, what then? Do the briefings go on, or do they stop? Too many people, knowing sensitive matters, makes for big holes in national security. Right?
Kinda funny seeing the words mitt romney and intelligence in the same sentence...
Hope Rob-me learned something about foreign policy & how to act, just in case the country is stupid enough to let him anywhere near the white house & nuclear war button.
If anyone needs to have his intelligence checked out, it's Romney.
Maybe when he discovers what our actual foreign threats are, he will stop saying things that increase our risks.
Okay, I want Obama to get re-elected so I could crack a joke about Romney needing intelligence but really, after his dangerous statements last week concerning the middle east, is it wise to give Mitt access to intel? I know by the rules, he should get it but I'm concerned he'll say something during a press conference that is highly classified.
was obama present for his?
Why waste a briefing on this idiot who will never become President.
He needs a brain briefing. This guy is really stupid. George W. Bush looks like genius compared to this clown.
I wouldn't give this man any intelligence reports he's liable to turn it over to our enemies and then blame it on Obama and his administration ...... he'll do anything to get ahead in the polls or get elected......I don't trust him or Ryan any further than I could throw them.....I'm one of the hard working 47% that he says is dependent on Govenment, and I paid a higher tax rate than he did........and voting for Obama
