Romney: Obama trade complaint 'too little, too late'

(CNN) - Mitt Romney issued the following statement Monday after it was announced the Obama administration will file a complaint with the World Trade Organization alleging China has illegally subsidized automotive exports and undercut American suppliers.

"President Obama has spent 43 months failing to confront China's unfair trade practices. Campaign-season trade cases may sound good on the stump, but it is too little, too late for American businesses and middle-class families. President Obama's credibility on this issue has long since vanished. I will not wait until the last months of my presidency to stand up to China, or do so only when votes are at stake. From Day One, I will pursue a comprehensive strategy to confront China's unfair trade practices and ensure a level playing field where our businesses can compete and win."

Mittens needs to zip it. He is such an embarrassment to our country. Does not know his backside from page one!

Maybe Mittens could declare war on China too. So let's see, Iran, Syria, Libya, Egypt, North Korea, Australia, Iraq, and Russia will just have to wait.

oh boy... this guy thinks ...this is all he has to do.. to just watch the news..and react to what the president is doing.....
also he hopes we don't know that his little plan will send more of our jobs to China...

  4. The REAL Truth...

" I will not wait until the last months of my presidency to stand up to China, or do so only when votes are at stake. "

    – Wow, the hypocrisy of the statement leaves anything Obama has said, in the dust! He can't stand up to China in any other manner than the POPTUS already has... due to the associated fiscal issues. This is PURELY a political stance, and Willard is (AGAIN) doing EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS HE WON'T DO!!
Wake up Amurika... check the facts for yourself. They are not hard to verify.. The GOP has no candidate and no viable platform or policies on which to get the country back on track. Look at the history of what the GOP HASN'T done for this country (except the 1%) and make up your own mind. This knee-jerk candidate has blown any chance he may have had with this independent voter.

Romney has become a real joke. At least we have daily comedic value from the GOP.

Except he has brought multiple trade complaints/lawsuits against China in his term. I know Romney said he wasn't going to bother with fact checkers but this is getting ridiculous. I'd like to see one thing come out of this man's mouth that isn't completely false.

Umm, Mitt. Listen up. You need a plan, man. You VERY OWN plan. You know ... a real plan with real ideas that can be fact checked and analysed.

"Trust Me – I'm Mitt Romney" isn't cutting it in "real" America. Never was, actually. You have proven to be without any substantial presidential foresight this past year. Well, decade actually if only because for a man who has been running for president for at least a decade, you simply haven't spent much time actually detailing anything of importance to anyone but yourself.

Trust ME, TeamRomney. Mitt is empty ... inside and out. (He has also lost his stamina and any real moral compass he might have had.)

The problem with Romney the Puppet Liar is that he is always coming from behind with comments. Maybe that's because he knows is in behind and losing.

So far I see plenty of personal attacks against Romney here. The fact is that Obama has done close to nothing on trade issues. This "complaint" is weak at best and is about as soft as you can get. Obama has no plan here, he never has.

Romney's campaign is too little, too late. If he cannot turn around his campaign, when the unemployment rate is over 8%, how can he turn around the economy?

Man someone needs to sit down and shut up. The more you open you mouth !!!!!!. Some needs to get his facts right before saying a word. Here we go again. There is an old saying FIX THE BARN DOORS BEFORE THE COWS COME HOME.

Romney created his own problems. Deal with it and move on. Obama certainly has. Dealt with personal attacks, that is.

Just let him ask his running mate his stance on China. He voted against the bill to stop China engaged in bad
    trade practices.

Failed neocon campaign strategy has failed. For as much combined experience Mitten's political advisors have they are doing a horrible job, and and since Mittens is the second coming of W. he has no choice but to blindly follow their advice. GOP is in for a rocky November.

I guess the "Are you better off...." tactic didn't work out so well. Now Romney is trying a new angle.

Says the man that helped out-source jobs to foreign countries. Just because things do not happen on Romney's timetable, does that make it wrong? Or is he just upset that it happened because now he can't use it anymore? Just because he can have access to security briefings now, does not mean Obama has to run everything he does by Romney first.

This coming from a person who already outsourced jobs to China, a hypocrit.
