Appeals court allows secrecy of some political donors

Washington (CNN) - A federal appeals court on Tuesday put the brakes on efforts to make public the names of donors funding election "issue ads" from corporations and non-profit groups.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia let stand a federal rule allowing those groups to keep their financiers anonymous.

Good. Every American should feel free to contribute to whatever political party or cause without fear of personal attack or retribution. The leftist Democrats and their union thug mentality are famous for this type of activity.

Every American does have that right. But our Democracy deserves the checks and balances to ensure that our elections are not being manipulated by foreign or subversive interests.

It'll run along party lines if SCOTUS has a say in it..They've created this mess with Roberts leading the other feeble minded judges down a road to nowhere. These judges are now flawed, they were never to vote along party lines, they were appointed for their nonpartisan stances on issues, they were asked that during appointment interviews in congress by the judicial committee..That should make them a liability to either party as it tarnishes their place in the highest court in the land...Now just old men and women in black robes playing a game they should've nevered been allowed to play in,pathedic!!!

so does this apply to taxes also. Sounds like the right has turned into one big secret party. They can lie about anything and noone can dispute. If you feel strongly about a candidate why would you care about who knows.Unless you are using money from people that don;t have a voice as to what they are contributing to. Forward.Truth Hurts you wouldn't know the truth if it hit you in the head. By the way something must have hit you in the head because you are an idiot.

The republican party has turned into the secret KGB. I thought they were merely Taliban, but they have taken a turn for the worse.
