Paul Ryan says Romney comments ‘obviously inarticulate'

Greensboro, North Carolina (CNN) – Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan said Mitt Romney’s leaked comments were “obviously inarticulate” in an interview Tuesday, but stood by the point that people have become too dependent on government under President Barack Obama.

“He was obviously inarticulate in making this point, and the point we’re trying to make here is under the Obama economy, government dependency is up and economic stagnation is up, and what we’re trying to achieve is getting people off of government dependency and back to a job that pays well and gets them onto a path of prosperity,” Ryan said in the interview with KRNV in Reno, Nevada.

He echoed that sentiment at two public events Tuesday, though Ryan did not comment directly on Romney’s remarks - recorded at a private fundraiser in May - that were leaked on Monday.

Romney acknowledged his comments were “not elegantly stated,” though he has also stood by the general thrust of his remarks.

Reporter Joe Hart asked Ryan if his running mate regrets what he said.

“Oh I think he would have said it differently, that’s for sure, but the point still stands,” Ryan said. “We have too many people becoming too dependent upon government because of the poor economic policies of the Obama administration.”

A president needs to be articulate.....say the wrong thing.....next thing you know we got troops on the ground up to their keysters in rice patties or sand down their waazooos....like Brownie, Foster and Clinner....RIP. Ever try brushing your teeth during a sand storm?

So Romney's comments were “obviously inarticulate”? In other words, the percentage he stated (47%) was a lie. Paul Ryan, your campaign is guilty of the same thing Romney has accused Obama of doing....lying. If the facts are wrong and you have access to those facts, you are lying. As I've said before, all politicians lie. Do we really want an obviously inarticulate person dealing with foreign dignitaries? Here's my foot, here's my gun, fire when ready!

The last thing America needs is someone who is "obviously inarticulate" when dealing with foreign leaders. mittens will tick off the entire rest of the world against us and probably start WWIII with his buffoonery.

Even though he didn't say it the best, Romney is right. There is no way I can vote for someone that believes it is fair to take more of the money I work really hard for, and give it to someone capable of working, but does not want to work. Redistribution from hard workers to lazy people, that is Obama's way, creating more democrat voters by making them dependent on the government.

Let's not forget that the uber rich & the corporate world have become dependent on the gop. They want those excessive tax breaks so they too pay no tax. They want corporate welfare, government hand outs. They hold cities hostage for improvements, free land and years of deferred taxes. They also take advantage of lax immigration inforcement by the gop to have cheap labor.

Let's not pretend that this is just about those who receive welfare or other social services. The far right depends on the gop handouts as much if not more than those on the lower economic scale.

If Romney was inarticulate or inelegant in a private meeting of his donors , imagine if he is elected president how inarticulate he would be in private meetings with other world leaders , He would probably manage something very few leaders have done , unite the United Nations against one country(the US).

Mormon Rich Money is only saying out loud what the Republican RINOs think:

That the poor and the working middle class need to stop playing the VICTIMS and need to pay MORE in taxes.

Whereas the real VICTIMS are the rich. Since they are obviously struggling during these tough economic times. And therefore need to pay LESS taxes.

Well....I guess I know which party I will be voting for in November.

I'm sure the millions of unemployed Americans appreciate what Mormon Rich Money and the GOP think of them: that they feel like they're victims who want to depend on government.

If there was any doubt that the Mormon Rich Money and the GOP are only out to help the 1% rich get richer, that doubt is gone.

The ten states with the most people who don't pay taxes: all red states, red state governors, red state policies... big fail.

7000 millionaires didn't pay income taxes last year. Same message for them Mitt? Yea... I thought not.

I think Willards scalp should be checked for the mark of the beast. He has to have 666 somewhere on him. He is very creepy and sinister looking. His eyes say it all. And that sneer of his..... And how he lies thru his teeth with a straight face. Be careful people, we could be staring into the eyes of the anti-christ.

I suppose all of the career military folks who get a government retirement check fall into the 47% Romney won't support. My VA disability check comes from the government so I must be a parasite as well. Romney is a total fool and Lyin' Ryan's claim to fame is his plan to kill Medicare. Great team if losing the election was the goal!

Inarticulate? How's that gonna work when the world is on the brink of war?
"Gee, sorry," said Mitt, "I was inarticulate when I said the USA was going to unleash a new holocaust."
Diplomacy and leadership cannot be inarticulate – the message needs to be clear – and clarity is not Mitt's strong suit.

Does Romney know that the 47% who pay no taxes includes 18% who earn more than $550,000 – some of whom are millionaires? It also includes senior citizens who live on Social Security and pensions if their company executives didn't raid their pension plans! It includes high school and college students who work part time jobs. Most of these people pay payroll taxes. Romney/Ryan: so much hate, so little time.

Hahahahaha are you SERIOUS, this was BY FAR the most articulate and engaged I've ever seen Mittens. Remember the primary debates? ZERO nervous laughter in the leaked video, whereas almost every single point another candidate made was met with that awkward nervous laugh in the debates.

  20. ThinkAgain: If you liked GW Bush's economic, military and foreign policies, vote for Mittens

Earlier this year in a GOP primary debate, Mittens admitted that he paid zero income tax the last two years. He said it when clarifying to Newt Gingrich that if Gingrich's plan to eliminate capital gains tax were implemented, then he (Mittens) would have paid zero income tax the last two years. (Check it out on the Politico website in an article dated 01/23/12.)

Just like at the $50,000 a plate fund raiser, there's nothing inarticulate about that.

End dependency. Investigate the 7000 millionares and corprations like GE who pay no federal taxes. Make millionares like Romney pay more than 13% federal taxes.

  22. ThinkAgain: If you liked GW Bush's economic, military and foreign policies, vote for Mittens

Mittens' dad was on "welfare relief" (according to Mittens' mom) when he was a kid, so by Mittens' logic, his dad was one of the 47% who wouldn't vote for him no matter what.
