(CNN) – Ann Romney's plane made an emergency landing in Colorado on Friday, a spokeswoman from Mitt Romney's presidential campaign tweeted.
"All okay. Thank goodness," the spokeswoman, Andrea Saul, wrote on Twitter.

Saul added the cause of the emergency was apparently "an electrical fire" after the cabin of the plane filled with smoke. Romney's plane was headed to Los Angeles but landed in Denver, where it was met with emergency vehicles on the runway.
Ann Romney's press secretary, Sarah Haley, was also on the plane.
An official with the Federal Aviation Administration said no injuries were reported on the plane, which was on its way from Omaha, Nebraska.
"A Canadair Challenger 601 charter flight operated by World Wide Jet, diverted to Denver today at about 2:40 p.m. MDT after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. The flight was en route from Omaha, NE to Santa Monica, CA. The aircraft landed safely on runway 35L and passengers exited the aircraft via stairs on a taxiway. No injuries were reported," Laura J. Brown, deputy assistant administrator for public affairs with the FAA, said in a statement.
A Secret Service official confirmed the incident.
"We can confirm that a plane carrying Mrs. Romney and two Secret Service personnel did make an emergency landing about 4:25 ET. It was at the Denver airport," the official said. "Basically what we understand there was some type of smoke in the cabin. All personnel were safe."
The official could not say who else was on board.
Campaign spokesman Rick Gorka said Mitt Romney spoke with his wife on the phone and is set to take the stage at a campaign event in Las Vegas.
Unrelatedly, the emergency landing came days after Romney's campaign canceled an event in Colorado on Sunday due to investigations of a plane crash at the Pueblo airport. The campaign said they did not want to "interfere" with the investigation.

When people have no idea what the actual definition of the word is, and do not bother becoming informed about actual policy positions, but instead get all ranted up listening to rush and hannity and beck and other arm-waving droolslobbering screamers, then there is a valid target for those memos you requested.
As for people who want to have a rational discussion about the balance of opposing philosophies in governance and how to reasonably compromise without either driving the economic bus off a cliff or running over vulnerable people with that bus, the welcome mat is out.

Just wondering why this is news....As nice and they might portray themselves to the American people, they are still rich stuck up people who has no idea how poor people live and socialize. Romney will NEVER get to the white house and Anne WILL NEVER be the first lady.
The Romneys have lied so much and so often, that my first reaction to the headline was that this story was likely to be some kind of a stunt by the campaign, or an exaggeration at most. I didn't read anything to change my mind.

Dear Queen Annie: I am so glad you are safe and sound. God bless you and your family.It must be a great thing to have the money to keep things ship shape, here and now. We the little people use commercial airlines, so we need safety standards in place to make it possible for us to land safely too. That's why we need federal regulation standards for the private industry. When we see people they see dollars and that clouds their judgement. That's one of the main reasons we the 99% cannot vote for your husband. He might be a good man but when it comes to us, he is totally clueless and unwilling to learn. This Obama voter does not hate you and your family, I just love my "neighbor", like in he biblical mandate.
I would look into some of Obummer's guys who probably caused this fire. After all, it's now an all or nothing "fight to the finish" and radicals, like Obummer and his gangstas, will resort to anything to get their way or get even.
