(CNN) - GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney paid taxes every year between 1990 and 2009, a notarized letter from his accountant will say, according to Romney's campaign.
Romney's full 2011 return, along with the letter from PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, will be posted later Friday on Romney's campaign website.

Looks like Mitt is trying to change the tone of the : the 47er commment , the video tape, etc.. it will not help.. his taxes will just be more ammunition.. it took so long so they could re-do these to make them seem like he paid more by taking less deductions.. Mitt cannot be trusted .. now or ever...
Show us the returns! What the heck is he hiding??????
Just went to Willard's website and no tax returns up yet. What are you waiting for? Post it now!!!
The real question is how much of total income went towards taxes. A notarized letter from a personal accountant means what?
Is this just a trade-off, releasing taxes instead of telling people what his policies are. Taxes for policies, just don't right a damn thing.
If he has nothig to hide and he paid taxes.. let's see them... I like 65 percent of Americans think he has something to hide... that why he will lose in a landslide!
Wait for it...... Romney is still a liar and a tax cheat. That's what we will hear. Even if every return the guy has ever done was released it wouldn't be good enough
Where's WikiLeaks when you need them???
Instead of the notarized letter, can the public see the tax returns? Thats not much to ask of a future president
Let me see, let me see!!
What about all the offshore accounts? EVERYONE needs to pay their share of all their income, not just you want to report.
The middle class has always supported this country, not the rich or poor. Our country states " United States of America". I would like to see that for once in my life. United and all working together for all. !!!!!!!!!
There he goes again. Romney uses the term "taxes" instead of "FEDERAL income taxes." I'm sure he paid sales taxes, maybe state income taxes. But I seriously doubt he paid any federal income taxes in 2009. That is why he isn't releasing his taxes.
Afterall, Romney's 2010 tax return showed a NOL (net operating loss) carryforward to 2010. The only way you can have a NOL carryforward is if you had a NOL the year before (2009) which would have eliminated his FEDERAL income tax for that year.
Release your returns! At least release 2009. The American voters demand it, and deserve it.
Sort of like getting a note from your mommy because you just didn't feel like going to school. Running mate Ryan had to show 10 years of tax returns; why is Mitt exempt from his own standards? Which taxes did he pay? At what rate? Did he declare his offshore accounts? Show us 10 years of tax returns and then ask us to trust you. And please... A LETTER FROM YOUR ACCOUNTANT? How stupid does he think the voters are?
Let's check this out. We don't want a letter from the accountant about the last 20 years tax returns. We want to see the complete 20 years funds and returns.
Romney believes that he is a victim.
I am sure Mittens payed taxes those years. What he does not want us to know is exactly how much money he made while dismantling companies with Bain. I am sure it was well above the 20 million he made in 2010.
What a joke. Desperation! Does Mitt the Twit really have campaign staff?
Mitt Romney believes he is a victim.
Show us
Now that he's made the claim, let's see him back it up. I'm betting that he is telling the literal truth, he did pay some taxes each year. But I'll bet that in 2009 he had to take advantage of a tax amnesty program for people who failed to report income from foreign accounts in previous years. So its an actual tax violation he's covering up, not the tax rate he paid.
yeah it takes time too move numbers around on all your tax returns mitt
Can we see them, please
Is Romney for real? I don't believe a word he or his paid accountant say until he releases multiple years of tax returns, as every presidential candidate has done since his father.
What is Romney hiding?
I want to see the taxes from 1999-2009 myself. I do not trust any biased notarized letter from non credible source.
A single year of tax returns and a notarized letter from your accounting firm isn't proof that you paid your taxes. Copies of the returns and the checks sent to the IRS from 2000-2012 will serve as proof. If I have to show proof I paid my taxes to the IRS, then every candidate is obligated to the American people to show that level of transparency. If not, then you have already admitted guilt of an impropriety from your past.
