Obama speaks to U.N. amid foreign policy criticism from Romney, Ryan

Washington (CNN) – Amid criticism from his Republican opponent that his foreign policy "projects weakness," President Barack Obama confronted Iran and Syria on Tuesday and warned those who killed an American diplomat in Libya that they would be tracked down.

"The attacks on our civilians in Benghazi were attacks on America," Obama told the United Nations General Assembly. "...And there should be no doubt that we will be relentless in tracking down the killers and bringing them to justice."

The same GOP who claimed that every Dem who expresed any concerns whatsoever with the war in Iraq or Bushthe GOP/Bush police-state enactments like the Patriot Act and Dept. of Homeland Security were "aiding the enemy" is now mocking a sitting POTUS on foreign policy as he speaks to the UN to condemn attacks on our people and our nation. Disgusting.

So far, Mittens has instructed Iran how to attack America with a dirty bomb, invested in Chinese oil companies who do business directly with Iran, attacked our American Embassies, and accepts money from foreign sources. It sounds like Mittens should shut up and go home before he hurts America.

The only foriegn policy experience Romney ,Ryan have is what Bibi Netanyahu gives them as advise, nothing more.Netanyahu,a friend of Romney from years past has been against any association with Romney and the presidencial campaign but Romney includes him anyway..Romney if president would start a war with Iran, its just letting Romney get that far by letting him win that's all and we can't do that!!

So disrespectful and wrong. President Obama has proven himself to be an excellent Commander in Chief. What has Romney done in the way of foreign policy or ensuring US military strength. Nothing. Just a lot of talk with nothing to back it up. Wake up people. Don't let these clowns get anywhere near our military nor the White House.

  12. Facts don't Lie

So how many uprisings in the Middle East occured when Bush was president? When Clinton was president? When Carter was president? I think you get my drift..those people over there have been fighting since Jesus walked the earth and they will be fighting more than likely until the last light goes out. How many times was America attacked since Obama became president? Well if you want to count the embassy in Libya where 4 Americans died it would be once and even then instead of uniting with the president as we all did on 911 regardless of party.. Romney and many on the right decided to put party first and attack the president. In Mitt's case even before the names of the victims were announced.

Random Poster – President Obama didn't apologize to anyone at the UN speech, just as he hasn't apologized to anyone else. The whole "apology" thing is a fabricated talking point for gullible, idiot, delusional right-wingers to believe in.

Romney and Ryan are not in a position to make any statements on foreign policy. They need to shut up.

  15. Wake up People!

While I realize it's election time there is a time and a place for everything. R & R couldn't be more unpatriotic. Every single day all we hear is rhetoric and vitriol from these two clowns. How dare they use the death of the Ambassador to further their political agenda. They did nothing but throw fuel on the fire. What would they have done if they were in office? Go and start a 3rd war?? Then 4th, 5th but NONE of their children will serve and die.

    OBAMA 2012!
Say what you want about my President, but he has more class in his pinky toe than R & R, along with Queen Ann, combined.

The results are what matter.....Obama's reserved response in Benghazi obviously worked as the Libyans, booted out the militias.....With Robmey, his lack of patience and quick response would not have delivered as positive a result.....Robmey would be dangerous....the likelihood of the US getting drawn into a war would be double or triple if he was president.

President Obama: "The attacks on our civilians in Benghazi were attacks on America," Now that wasn't that hard was it ???? It only took 2 weeks for him to say it. In the meantime they were calling this "a spontaneous protest", "Not our fault" the result of that horrible movie" and worst of all "A bump in the road".

But leave it to CNN to contrast the "Attack" from Romney about O's foreigh policy and O's TOUGH statement aganst Iran and Syria.

    Very, very SAD

Why isn't the LSM asking the obvious questions about the ambassador's death?! WHERE was the heightened security on 9/11 and why was one of our ambassor's left virtually unprotected in a volatile, dangerous country where there had been several previous attacks?!! THEY DROPPED THE BALL!!! NONE of these guys should have been placed in that position.

The Obama administrations INCOMPETENCE has gotten people killed REPEATEDLY. THEN they LIE about the attack for a week before coming clean. And the LSM just keeps covering it up for them. Unbelieveable.

"Obama clarified his position on Iran, which Netanyahu wants the U.S. to take a stronger tone on, in his U.N address"

How about being CRYSTAL CLEAR from the beginning. A speech to the UN is not the place to "CLAIFY" ones position.

  24. ThinkAgain: Mittens' 47% ... Veterans, grandma and the disabled are all moochers!

The GOP has devolved into a party of pathological liars, miscreants and frankly, incredibly dysfunctional, control-freaks. They want their way, all the time, and have no problem flip-flopping to always find a way to criticize President Obama and the Democratic party; no qualms harming our country and her people in their efforts to regain power; not a moment's hesitation to thump their chests in self-righteous patriotism as they write off half of the country and sell their soul's to a couple billionaires.

Mittens 'n' Munster perfectly represent this mess of a party.

    Obama/Biden 2012 = The only sane choice
