(CNN) - The Obama and Romney campaigns are seeking to manage - and in some cases lower - expectations for their candidate's performance in the first presidential debate.
CNN obtained a memo on Thursday circulated by Beth Myers, an adviser to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, that outlines several reasons why President Barack Obama may win the first of three scheduled encounters next Wednesday in Denver.

Well our expectation is that President Obama is going to sweep the floor with Romney's hair and mop it with Romney's tongue.
Okay, okay, maybe that's just MY expectation! LOL!
So did you receive a memo from President Obama's campaign whining also? If you didn't, then please don't try to malign the POTUS's campaign because Willard is crying like a 5 year old girl!
Anyone that thinks CNN is in the bag for President Obama is completely delusional. Campaign fraud is occurring as we speak in Florida and by the rethugs, yet CNN says NOTHING. I bet if it were the dems it would be at the top of the ticker trending all day.
I don't even know why I'm taking the time to type this, it's just going to be moderated out. What a pathetic attempt to make an unworthy candidate relevant.
OBAMA 2012!
Newt Gingrich: If Obama Wins Reelection, GOP Will Immediately Meet To Plot 2016 Comeback
Here we go again !
The liberal moderator's will be sabotaging Romney and favoring Obama in these debates. At least one of these debates should have been held by Fox News and moderated by one of their news people. At least then Obama might have been asked some tough questions.
Don't worry Beth Myers, Romney lowered our expectations a long time ago.
Mitt Romney is an idiot, to lead. You got to be a pervert to back Bain-Capital and 47%.
PS: shhhhhh 47/50 in job creation.
Obama is holding on to Pres Clinton tail-coat and "Piggy-back-riding" on Clinton's Record...the media wants to tell Americans that over-night everything improved...from the housing-market to a drop in job-seeker...Here it goes how the media tells it.."26,000 fewer are applying for unemployment benefits...but how many are applying this they don't say...
Romney is a decent debater. He knows his stuff. He just needs to be prepared to counter all the lies Obama will be tossing out. He also needs to be prepared for the underhanded tactics of the leftist moderators. He should be watching reruns of the way Newt handled them. And most of all, Romney needs to aggressive and in command. State the facts and tell people how much better YOU can do the job.
Obama will do fairly well. Romney will also do fairly well...until in the midst say something reall dumb that will monopolize the news cycle for an entire week.
When did mitt learn how to create jobs, 47/50, impressive to say the least. its sad to see the lengths the gop is going to, cant vote thatbway anymore. would like to see mitt loose, so all the rich boys who backed him will be peed, try to buy the presidency, shame on you, oh, and sorry aboutthe hundreds of millions you lost. suck it up fellas, you've got 4 years to try again. KEEP AMERICA FROM THE KOCHS
I can hear obmas advisors right now."Barry just be sure to read the prompter the moderator will only ask these questions." Now be sure and memorize them and then press the right number on the prompter and the answer will pop right up.
You'll do just fine little guy.
I wonder if the liberal moderators will be asking Obama about his redistribute the wealth comments and if he still believed in them? Would he consider wealth confiscation in order to accomplish it? What about nationalizing corporations? Is Venezuela his model for this country?
Romney can say whatever he wants. We know where his heart is.
