Iowa City, Iowa (CNN) – Katherine Valde is ready when a fellow student says "no thanks" to early voting because of the thrill of casting a ballot on Election Day.

Early voting helps the President which is all the more reason why republicans are trying to surpress the vote.

well the ones that benefit from it the most it appears are Democrats for some reason which is why Republicans in certain states are out to stop it. I like to do the early voting here in Texas just to beat the crowds and get it out of the way. Maybe Democrats make their minds up quicker than Republicans do I don't know...one thing for sure I KNOW who I'm voting for and just want to get it over with.

I don't know why I expected the lead story in the Political Ticker to be about the current administration lying to the American people about what happened in Lybia. I guess I should have suspected that Obamaa ever faithful lackies in the press would not report the story in an election year. Just like they never question any thing the most corrupt, inept, incompetent, union toady president in our history pulls over on us. A free press does exist in this country, but the Obama regime will shut them down soon.

Now John, Who Do You think benefits ? Take a good hard look at the Photo. I'm tellin you IF the 18 – 30 yr. olds don't show up, or don't care, for Obama, it will be climbing Mt. Everest barefoot. They don't care, because on November 7th, or 8th, they will still go to work the next day, in their 30K (to 45K) a yr. Jobs.
Vote Democrat – 2012 ( for us "working" middle class)

I do: you've been watching Faux Noise and listening to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh weave nonsense conspiracy theories and spew vitriol all day long and it's effectively lobotomized the areas of your brain responsible for rational thought.

So no story about the firm in Florida, hired by the republican party and Mitt Romney, to register voters but got caught committing voter fraud?? Did I mention, said company has a history of doing this same thing in previous elections??

    OBAMA 2012!

It's just another example of the chronic issue the conservative brain has with reality. They got it wrong a long long time ago: they failed to base their ideology on reality and instead chose to insist that reality conform to their ideology. Engaging in the doublethink of rationalizing batsh-t crazy justifications for voter suppression at the same time you hail yourself as the true champions of democracy, all because certain types of voting result in higher voting for the "other team"...that's yet another way of trying to manhandle reality and make it conform to your wishes. There's no evidence of pervasive, in-person voter fraud or widespread, election-altering abuse of conveniences like early voting, but they have absolutely convinced themselves that those problems exist anyway. How? By believing that the problem they really have...that such voting results in more votes to the "other team"...is actually evidence that the imaginary problem exists. Elephants hide extremely well in strawberry patches....and I know this because I can't find any elephants in the strawberry patches.

Early voting does help the President. With each new economic report his likelihood of reelection goes down.

Early voting helps Democrats since it is fraught with fraud and deception.

Weird – I am not sure where Lybia is, but you are dead wrong on what happened in Libya. Fox foreign owned media is doing a tremendous disservice to the American people by trying to cover Mittens jumping the shark, and attacking our American Embassies.

    @ Four and the Door

"with each new economic report his likelihood of re-election goes down" Oh how you wish that was true...after the so-called sorry jobs report of Aug, Obama's poll number went where? UP!! The more people find out about Romney's economic plan the less they like it and yeah that 47% video didn't help him much either. Obama is now even leading Romney on the economy issue so you right wingers really have nothing to go to at the moment than claiming the polls are now skewed...funny they weren't skewed at the times Romney was leading I guess.

SNOPES – be sure to check your state - some ballots are void unless you FIRST check the box for president, and then check the straight Dem after that.

Also, SAC, a republican consulting firm is found guilty in 7 (maybe more) counties of submitting invalid registrations for voters. Imagine -- Republicans + Florida + voter suppression === 2000.

    @Four and the door,

We only have 2 more economic reports left between now and Nov 6th. Do u really think that is going to make that much of a difference. If unemployment goes down .1 or .2 points or goes up by .1 or .2 is not going to save your beloved Romney. I know folks like you is just wishing n hoping something bad really happens to the economy so Romney can win. Keep wishing...

There is no such red line; the real red line is the American economy and we need to put our people back to work and help fight poverty. Wars bring more poverty and more bad economy and plus we do not have the money. We need to stop that nonsense because that guy Netanyahu is a manupilator that is trying to manupilate our politics and citizens. What don't he go to Europe and make his claim there to France, Germany and Great Britain because I am sure that they are superpower too. It is unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon but US cannot do this along because I am sure that issue is a global threat.
Mitt Romney and his campaign is so arrogant and now they are down play the polls as inaccurate and also said that the president support is the 47% percent and that group do not vote and they are mostly minorities wo never vote. Let us prove them wrong and get out in big number and vote November six and if you live in states where they are require ID, make sure that you have your ID because that ID thing cannot stop us. They want ID go make one. November six not seven make sure you vote!

30 straight months of job growth, 4.4 million new jobs created under pres obama. 2 more economic reports aint gonna change nothing. Most of the people I believe is with Obama. And all that talk about the polls being screwed, mainly coming from Dick Morris. And who is Dick Morris, a RIGHT WING OBAMA HATER who is on Fox News every other night. This fool predicted Mccain was gonna win Fl, OH and PA. Yeah, what a prediction Dick Morris. So all you right wingers can listen to him if you u want to but your feeling gonna be hurt the night of Nov 6th. I can't wait to see Dick Morris Face after Nov 6th. I wonder what he gonna say then.

I vote early because I have a life, family, events to go to, might get sick that day, avoid crowds, not as many people with colds and germs in Oct as in November, on and on and on. THink

In some states (mine included) sometimes there is deep snow in November. Voting Oct 8 and then continuing on with my life.
