Boston (CNN) - As Mitt Romney headed into another session of debate preparations in Boston, his advisers said the nominee still had time to convince swing voters to support him.
In the final five weeks of the election, Romney will seek to appeal to voters on a range of issues, including taxes and spending, job growth, small business growth, health care, energy and foreign policy.

"As we move closer to Election Day, we believe the critical choice that is before voters is becoming more clear and more apparent," senior adviser Kevin Madden told reporters on a conference call. "We can't afford another four years like the last four years."
Campaign advisers have said they expect the race to be close fought until November, with Romney making a play in these final weeks for undecided voters and for those who have some level of support for Obama but might be persuaded to switch to Romney.
"I think the reason these voters are undecided is because they've watched President Obama for the four years and they haven't concluded that he's worthy of their support right now," Madden said, adding Romney's job was: "to lay out the important contrast, the important choice that these voters face on these issues that they care about."
The GOP presidential nominee will have another opportunity to break through to undecided voters when he faces off against President Obama Wednesday in the first of three highly-anticipated debates.
Romney spent time the past two days prepping for Wednesday night, and will practice more in Denver in the coming days.
He said he relishes the chance to confront the president head-on.
"I'm looking forward to the debates, I'll put it that way," Romney told reporters on his campaign plane Friday.
One topic he will be prepared to discuss is the covertly-filmed fund-raiser video, in which Romney told donors 47% of Americans were dependent on government and would not vote for him.
Senior adviser Ed Gillespie said Romney - who has since said publicly he would be a president for "the 100% - would be ready.
"We wouldn't be surprised obviously if that came up in the debate, and the governor is prepared obviously to respond to that," Gillespie.

Swing voters can still be won? !!!! The problem is, there are very few swing voters left out theer, so it really doesn't matter. Let him have the swing voters. The way it looks now Obama will still win the election.
Big talk for a very small man. The issues facing this election are far bigger than Willard's ego, and the American people will want much more than "it's our time" to handle them. No apology from this man and yet, he expects us to just forget he called us lazy freeloaders, who see ourselves as victims and wards of the government. Willard will find out words have consequences and people in this country are not stupid, or unable to comprehend he would be a disaster for this country.

The debates will be huge for Mitt Romney. What viewers will see is an intelligent man with real answers to the nations problems, very different that what the Obama Administration has been trying without success. But another thing Mitt Romney will be able to do is to explain why the previous strategy did not work and why his will.
Bottom line, many viewers will get their first opportunity to see past the Obama/ Biden 2012 personal attack program and see that in a discussion of the real issues Mitt Romney has a better strategy. That's what we need. Now.

Obama will ask for another 1-2 trillion in debt next month,, massive taxes are about to descent right after the election(wonder of wonders), we just got to 1.6 BILLION for "OBAMA PHONES", our interest on the debt will equal the governments tax revenue about 2022– WAKE UP AMERICA– this president is destroying America - Think what America will look like for yourself an your children and grand children after four more years of Obama, Reid and Pelosi!

Four, what exactly is Mr. Romney's strategy? We are all waiting for him to explain, in some detail, how he is going to create 12 million jobs. Don't tell us by lowering taxes on the "job creators". Their taxes are already at historic lows and they are not creating jobs. So how? You seem to know what his plan is; please explain it to us.

Mitt Romney has been very clear about his plans. But you are talking about fine details that congress will have to be involved with in executing the Romney Administration plans. Seriously, this is how it works regardless of what political spin Obama/ Biden 2012 puts on it. Congress has to pass the laws and they have to be part of the negotiated details.
But look at the comparison of Paul Ryan and Joe Biden. Paul Ryan has been the only one in Congress to develop a budget for America that saves Medicare, accelerates economic growth, starts reducing the national debt and does this without raising taxes. And Joe Biden? He's Obama's No.1 cheerleader.
My concern is what his wife said about him being able to handle the emotional part of being President.....well everyday the President is faced with emotional things (not just the economy, unemployment, healthcare etc).....she is worried about his mental wellbeing (those are her exact words)......is this the man you want sitting by the RED BUTTON or taking the 3AM phone call in the middle of the night???? She should know this man better than any other person and if she has her concerns about his MENTAL WELLBEING then I think the rest of us should have great concern too......
Is the Romney campaign totally clueless? They seem so. Are they busy writing zingers for Romney to spew? I've heard them. It's pathetic. They are relying on Barack Obama to make Romney look more presidential just by being on the same stage as him. That's right, Romney is relying on Obama to make him more presidential looking. This would probably be a good plan if only he could go the whole debate without actually saying anything. Anytime Mitt Romney has a chance to talk, stupid things happen. Maybe this is where the magic underwear will kick in? He's way too touchy, and by touchy I mean he wants to touch all the other debaters. I saw him touch Rick Perry in a debate. It was creepy. He was begging Anderson Cooper to help him. I think if I had to debate this jerk, I'm fairly certain I'd have to ask him to keep his filthy Mitts off me. Hey, what if he tries to touch President Obama? I wonder if we'd see like a dozen red lasers on his forehead? That would be neat.
The Romney/Ryan team has exactly zero time to win my vote. Polls are opening across the country, and I already voted for Obama/Biden and a straight Democratic ticket.
Sorry, Four and the Door, real answers won't be coming from Romney. If Romney had real answers to the nation's problems he would have told us already. Romney does not even have an answer on how to salvage his campaign. The way Romney is running his campaign, he is destroying the last argument for his candidacy: his competence.
Of course he still has a chance! He's polling within striking distance and anybody with more than 10 live brian cells will be voting for him. 4 more years of this economic nightmare is NOT an option!
Romney still has a chance to win swing state voters except for the fact he is peddling the same old GOP/Tea Party snake oil.
I am a swing voter. I sit in my porch swing calling President Obama supporters reminding them to vote early.
