Ann Romney: 'One thing I know about Mitt. He doesn't fail'

Washington (CNN) – After her husband's failed 2008 run for president, Ann Romney said she would never do it again - until she decided she would. And now that Mitt Romney is in the political fight of his life, Ann has become a key advocate and character witness. And when he's attacked, she's his chief defender - as this race has become an increasingly personal crusade for a woman who wants the voters to see her husband the way she sees him.

Tune to CNN for Wednesday's presidential debate coverage starting at 7 p.m. ET on CNN TV, CNN.com and via CNN's apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. Web users can become video editors with a new clip-and-share feature that allows them to share favorite debate moments on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. Are you kidding me?

I am getting sick of it. The guy is a stiff and his wife trying to sell him does not persuade me in the slightest.

  2. Are you kidding me?

They are spending too much time trying to humanize the rich elitist who will not share his tax returns or explain anything in detail.

Ann Romney: 'One thing I know about Mitt. He doesn't fail'.

That's very sad , how do we learn from our mistakes then ? The key to success if failure and correcting . The key to failure is making the same mistake over and over.

Little Annie is off in fantasy land again. Mittens is going to fail bigtime tonight and destroy the remnants of his campaign. He is utterly unqualified for high public office.

Stick around lady. You're about to see him get the thrashing of a lifetime. Hopefully after the dust settles, you two can retreat to one of your various mansions and count your millions in offshore banks. That way you won't feel the agony of defeat as acute as it should be felt.

Really, Ann? How about his bid for the GOP nomination in 2008... or his bid for Senator of Massachusetts? Those look a lot like failures to me! Right now he's getting his rump whipped in nearly every swing state across the nation.

Ann, darling, you may choose to overlook Mitt's failures, but we are not so inclined.

    Ann, here`s the truth.

At Bain, Mitt said he made profits [in his value system - been successful] 75% of the time. What, he doesn`t say is that at Bain, he got to cherry pick the business deals he invested in. Private equity passes on 499 deals for every 1 they take on . That`s NOT A GOOD success rate. The President doesn`t get to pass on the tough ones, Ann so your claims that Mitt won`t fail are overblown.

We don't WANT to see her husband as she does! She's as clueless as Mitt! We're trying to decide on a president, not husband material! Her comments are more appropriate for a doe-eyed schoolgirl than a grown woman.

Where was your husband, when thousands of good hard working folks lost their jobs, retirement fund, healthcare, homes, and families due to him dismantling their jobs that those american people depended on just for selfish greed and profit? A few kind acts will never make up for a million greedy selfish and harsh ones just to make a buck. Ann . . . sit your wide posterior down. If you have to keep telling folks how kind and true your husband is, he must not be, people are taught from the bible "to judge the spirit by the spirit". Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to fit through a eye of a needle then a rich man to get into heaven. Chew on that for a while.

Every wife sees her husband and we do want others to see them as we do. Is this a selling point for a candidate, well probably not. The two do not always mesh. As lovely as her remarks are she has not convinced me that I should support her husband and vote for him. Mitt has had months and months in front of the tv camera and in front of thousands upon thousands of us. It is his actions, deeds, speeches, and writings which will make the difference. His words about 47% of the people are very worrisome. Perhaps this is an area where she could explain what her husband meant. I certainly would have a few words to say and they would be to my husband!

I just have a problem with a wife who seem more like the mother to her husband, than a wife. Willard has become accustomed to letting his wife handling his business, rather than handling his own. Don't trust him...don't trust her!

Wow. Every time she's interviewed I like her less and less. You would think her husband can do no wrong but the truth is, he has no use for 47% of the American people. Those are his words. Who in their right mind would want this guy for President.

Mrs. Romney, I am sure you think your Mittens is wonderful. To the rest of us he appears completely detached from the life that most Americans live. This is not a man I will feel comfortable voting for.

It's more amusing to see your defense of Mittens. It amuses me to see all of the posts that deify Mitt. I am one of the 47%ers, so not too crazy about Mitt. Now you guess why I am a 478%er. Bet you get it wrong.
