Ann Romney to co-host 'Good Morning America'

(CNN) - Ann Romney, wife of GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, will co-host ABC's "Good Morning America" next week.

Her press secretary, Sarah Haley, says Romney will act as co-host for the broadcast morning television show on Wednesday, October 10.

She will appear on the program in the 8 a.m. ET hour, GMA spokeswoman Alison Bridgman told CNN.

One of GMA's regular hosts, Robin Roberts, said in June that she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, or MDS, and since late August has been on medical leave from the show while undergoing treatment. Roberts battled breast cancer five years ago.

She is "recuperating nicely" after a bone marrow transplant, one of the show's anchors, Sam Champion, said Thursday on the program.

Romney expressed her support for Robin's recovery in a tweet in August, saying "keep on fighting! We all stand with you!"

Romney is a breast cancer survivor as well and has multiple sclerosis.

Romney sat for a July interview with Roberts, in which she defended her husband's decision not to release additional tax documents and described him as a "generous person" for foregoing a salary when leading the Olympic Games and governing Massachusetts, as well as for the money he donates to his church.

She has also expressed a critical view of the media, telling CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger in an interview which ran Wednesday that the "media puts a very high bar for us."

Is this going to be her new job when her husband loses his run for president?

Are they building a throne for Queen Ann? Hope they all remember to be appropriately deferential to her. After all, they are "you people" and she is a Queen.

Doesn't Queen Ann already have a job? The Vonage "bundle" commercial?

Opportunist.....another barbie. " I worry about his mental state should he become president" I saw that mental state last night. Lying is normal....he seemed like a rabid animal. Why should the president spend his time lowering his standard to argue with someone who believes lying is normal day to day activity. Give him the win!

Thanks for the heads up; I won't make the mistake of tuning in. I don't want to see Queen Anne on any day of the week. She has the personality of a wet noodle.

If michelle can go on tv for her hubby, then mrs. Romney should have a shot. Fair is fair.

Ann Romney has more class in her pinky finger then Michelle "I Hate Oprah" Obama has in her body. At least if Ann decided to go on some Exotic Vacation her Hubby can afford it unlike Michelle sticking it to we taxpayers. Get over it Barry is going back to Chicago or Honolulu...

Nice comments from the Obama kool aid drinking brain dead followers. Your man is an arrogant pandering angry black man who changes his dialect when talking to his jeromiah wright cohorts and has not accomplished a single thing in 4 years with a wife who hates America but is more than willing to use the US treasury to raise her standard of living to put her in the 1% .

Let's cut all the crap, about "Mittens", it's all BS, just like the BS that comes out of Obama and Biden's mouths every single day. But of course you dim wits can't quite see the continual lying by this President and Vice President. Every set of numbers they have come out with have been a pipe dream. They promised the Moon and delivered Moon dust, time for a change!

I wonder what the polital reasoning is for this. Will it help with popularity? Anyway. I was disappointed in Pres. Obama`s performance last night. It is as if he lost his backbone. He let Mitt dish him some major reality las night. I duely conserned about him not being supportiv e of Israel. It is sad that the Leader of a Free nation will not support our allies.

MEOW!! She is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and has raised 5 amazing sons and has donated/participated in her church to help her community and lives as a woman of faith. How is she vain? Why can we not respect each others differences?

You know Ann, pretty soon someone in the Media is going to go after you with both barrels. You put yourself out there and be critical of a sitting president and his policies but as far as I can tell no one is electing you to anything. I don't want to hear you or your husband whining when this eventually happens. You worked for it and you earned the hit.

Vain... Really! This woman beat Cancer, deals with MS, successfully raised 5 boys, is an obvious rock for her husband and remains respectfully poised in the face attackers like you. Oh and I'm not even going to get into how much time she spends supporting Breast Cancer awareness and research. So California girl, because I'm finding it to difficult too call you a woman, this precious lady has done more for her family and this county than I dare say you do for yours. A homemaker not a "Real Full-Time Job" , what planet do you live on?

Are some Americans shortsighted? Romney is tricky, his character may get something done, but his character is not good as leader for the world, his leadership style will create a moral decline for America and the world in the long term. He is worse than Bush!!!!
