Bad debate, good fundraising and jobs report for the president

Washington (CNN) - A bad week suddenly got a lot better for President Barack Obama, who was criticized by friends and foes for a lackluster debate performance before learning of record fundraising followed by Friday's stronger-than-expected jobs report.

The drop in the unemployment rate to 7.8% provided both a tangible and symbolic campaign boost after analysts and a snap poll said he lost the first debate to Republican challenger Mitt Romney on Wednesday.

Let's see now, Willard picked up 2 points on a "good debate" performance and the President gained 1 – both within the 2 point margin of error. Willard = pathetic even on a good day.

Go Mr. President we are firmly behind you and so are ALL your many other supporters.

Willard can only dream of having people actually love and support him the way you do.

IT'S A MIRACLE PEOPLE!!! Two days after receiving the biggest smackdown in presidential debate history, Obama's Labor Dept. called nearly ONE MILLION PEOPLE and decided that there were nearly ONE MILLION more employed people that they somehow MISSED!! HOLY MACKERAL!! How LUCKY can a guy get?!! And only ONE month before election!!

And there's MORE!!! That attack in Libya that killed our ambassador was NOT a terrorist attack!! REALLY! The Obama administration said so.

And the final surprise is that the debate you all watched just a Saurday Night Live skit. It wasn't real. There is no way that Obama could be THAT BAD in a debate, right?

Isn't it time we were happy to receive some good news. The employment news will never be acceptable to politicians on either side of the aisle. However, we need to let them know that good news is here and things are beginning to look up.

Last week there was an announcement that some manufacturers were hiring and were ready to produce more goods. It was not surprising that we had an uptick in employment. Mr. Romney may not think this is enough but Mr. Romney has not challenged his wealthy friends who own corporations and who run big banks to try to help those out of work. Instead he complained about the so-called 47%. He has had many opportunities to talk about these PACS and what they are doing. Secrecy is never a good thing in an open society. Secrets have no place in a presidential race. Stand up and be counted. Why are these people afraid to let people know they are contributing? It would be good if Mr. Romney states that as well.

    I voted for Obama/Biden 2012 on Tuesday.

So I don't have to listen to Lying Ryan and Lying Mitt any more. Wouldn't believe them anyway. They have lied too long and too many times.

Democrats need not fret about Obama. If Romney can bounce back from the 47% tape, Obama can bounce back from the debate. At the end of the day, Obama is competing against Mitt the Flip-Flopper. Romney said before the debate that he stood behind what he said about the 47% who don't pay income tax. Now he says that he is completely wrong about the 47%. Which Romney do you believe? When a person changes positions as quickly as Romney, how can anyone take his words seriously?

Everything I wanted to say has been said above. This message is for Mitt, "we are sending you packing come November 6" . After that, you can join, G.W. Bush, Cheney and the rest of the clan that caused us so much pain as a people and a nation. May God be with you Mr. President and thanks for caring about the rest of us.

Obama gets good jobs number before the election in 2012, and republicans think something is going on.

Bush 'finds' Saddam Hussein ahead of the 2004 election and republicans think there is not a stroke of irony in that fact.

    Astounding.

The President tried statesmanship and Romney responded with lies and distortions. The economy is now in full recovery and Republicans have even started a new conspiracy regarding economic news! Are any honorable Republicans left out there? Is every campaign about "swift boat" lies and completely distorted statements? How are you convincing yourselves to vote for this flip-flopping, draft-dodging, spoiled, arrogant pr!(k who thinks 47% of Americans are worthless?

The President held his ground. The bully showed us what a slimeball he is. He was rude to Lehrer and the whole country.
Nobody wants a bully. I can imagine what Putin or Merkel would do to him if they thought that this is the way to mend fences. We might never see him again. Then again, that's not such a bad idea is it?

But you didn't have a problem with Willard providing these SAME kind of jobs did you? What a hypocrite you are.

    @ DENNA
My family and are are with you on that as we are all better off than just one year ago.

@Guryl – I couldn't agree with you more. God does NOT like ugly and the republicans have been just that.

@ Babyboomer – I was asking myself that same question tonight and I got the answer immediately. The republicans are the nastiest, meanest group of radicals I've seen in my lifetime. They hate the president so much they are INSANE. Hate is an awful thing which usually destroys the body and shuts the soul down but most of all, it KILLS. These people are hurting themselves far more than they are hurting the president and sooner or later, they are going to realize that or at least, one can only hope.

LOL. Told you Obama was bating Willard into saying really stupid things during the debate. It was masterful. Obama didn't need to challenge Willard on stage. He knew Willard couldn't resist being cute and telling lies. He also knew the media and American people would do a much better job of fact-checking Willard than he ever could on stage. Just another brilliant showing of how far ahead of these guys the Prez is!! They are wondering what happened.....

From February 2009 until today the rate of job loss has been trending downward; arithmetic should not only be a Democratic Principle but an American necessity if one is to delve into politics. Today is a great day for America...Independents needed this vindication of our President and his policies. The NUMBERS are facts, there is no spinning this.

Obama appeared to be thinking "is this guy for real?" How can you debate someone who changes his story every time he opens his mouth? What Wacky Willard said really didn't make much sense. I believe Obama didn't really think anyone in their right mind would take him serious. He seemed to be having a hard time not laughing at the fool. But Americans are shallow. They just look at the outside of the box, and if that looks good, they buy it. Never mind what's inside the box. Willard was loud, obnoxious, and aggressive. I wonder how many people noticed the healthcare stocks tanking as a result of Wacky Willard's promise to repeal Obamacare? Vote for the traveling Snake Oil salesman. Watch your 401k disappear. Try to send your kids to college without low interest rate student loans and grants. No federal funding for our National parks, schools, teachers, green technology. Oh. But let’s overfund the war machine 3 trillion dollars. The GOP would love another war. He even wants to kill Big Bird!!!

The people that stopped working were high school kids and college kids that had to go back to school, but of course this fact isn't welcome in the right-wing land of severe delusion, ignorance, and illiteracy.

Anybody with education that includes math would easily see that these new employment numbers don't make any sense and don't add up .
So now we can add corruption to the many lies coming from the White House.
Obama has failed his Presidential duties and looks far more comfortable on talk shows and the golf course.

I am sure those working part time and scraping to make ends meet are really happy with Obama failed policies. One thing you did not hear was how these are part time jobs and seasonal jobs. The ecomony is not getting better, more people files for unemployment this month then last month. THat was in the job report to. Obama showed us Wed what kind of failes policies and lies he has. He could not even look Romney in the eye a sure sign of a liar. COme November Obama is going to be one of the millions out of work looking for a job. THou if he is lucky Milt might hire him as a janitor for the WHite House. Obama wrong for this country, wrong for the people, Romeny Ryan 2012.
