Romney riding high post-debate

Port St. Lucie, Florida (CNN) - Mitt Romney used a well-received debate performance to power his way through a three-day swing this weekend in Florida, where audiences seemed newly energized after his perceived victory over President Barack Obama.

Speaking to large crowds in St. Petersburg, Apopka and Port St. Lucie, Romney opened up his stump speeches by recapping his match-up against the president.

"We had a little debate earlier this week and I enjoyed myself," Romney told a roaring audience of roughly 10,000 in Port St. Lucie Sunday afternoon.

"You all had the chance to hear his answers - or his non-answers," he continued. "Now of course, days later we are hearing his excuses, and next January we'll be watching him leave the White House for the last time."

Another new staple of his stump speech: the stories of three Americans whose deaths touched Romney. The candidate spent time each day telling audiences about helping write a will for a 14-year-old with leukemia, as well as the death of a disabled friend.

"I know something about great human beings in this country," he said. "It's that that gives me the confidence that our future will be so bright, because I've seen how Americans respond to challenge, and even to tragedy."

On Monday Romney will give a foreign policy speech in Virginia, where he is expected to criticize Obama's handling of tumult in the Middle East.

"I commit to you I will be a leader," Romney told his supporters in Port St. Lucie Sunday. "When I'm president I will take the care that it takes to rebuild our principles and restore the principles that made America so strong."

Ann Romney also worked to humanize her husband when she introduced him Sunday.

The candidate's wife said the debate gave Americans a chance to see Romney "as I see him: a good and decent person, that throughout his life has exhibited his care for others. And now we're going to get a chance for him to really care for others because we're going to have the chance to see him get people back to work again."

Obama can "lose" every debate, and I will vote for him over the liar, the flip-flopper, the hater of half the country, the emotionally unstable, bad for business, bad for the military, shipper of jobs over seas, pro-cayman islands, tax cheat!

They, Romney supporters on this post, look like they are at a carnival. His hyped debate victory is only celebrated by his delusional base who has a tendency to over look his many lies and flip-flops. For they are oblivious to the cage of lies driven by a car of hate that is holding them captive.

Romney said today in Florida President Obama is leaving The White House in January for the last time. There he goes again, everytime he thinks he has scored some points he reveals his true self. He sure is different when he talks to a particular group or shall I say race. I understand Mrs. Romney is already talking about how she will decorate The White House. We don't have a class system in our country but Romney wants one, rich, and poor. Romney meant the 47% comment and looks down on his base mainly poor whites.

It cannot vote for a man who can go infront of the entire nation and lie so convincingly. He said he hasn't proposed a $5 Trillion Tax Cut and he did. He said his Health Care Plan covers pre-existing conditions but it only offers continuous coverage so if you loose your Health Car because you loose your job you can be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition that is a lie! He said he clean energy companies have failed under Obama he said half of them have failed. 3 failed and there are more than 6 infact there are about 40 so that is a big lie. He said he doesn't know about Tax Breaks for sending a company overseas and that is not just a lie that is outright stupid since when he was investing company outsourcing to China in the early 90's He himself was getting that tax break! Can't vote for a liar I just can't.

Romney just "fired" himself on the jobs talking point as the unemployment rate dropped, all he can do is come up with more lies. Romney still hasn't given any specifics on jobs, taxes, or anything else for that matter because he expects people to just vote for him and he'll tell you later. Romney and Republicans only plan was that of Mitch McConnell, just make him a one term president and that's it. Romney/Ryan were fool enough to listen to Mitch McConnell, Rush Limbaugh and others, just fool enough.

In the primary, Romney was a conservative. He want to repeal the Obamacare. Before the rich donors, he said he doesn'care 47% poor American, just care about 5% rich people. Now he is more moderate and he said he care the middle class. He is a flip flop guy. No one believes him. He a liar.

He should be high off of snake oil. Because that is what he was selling to the people. This cat has no integrity, and many in the GOP know it.

Romney didn't win...he just didn't lose. Romney completely changed his position during the debate and tried to portray himself as centrist which he has not been thus far in his campaign...but nobody seems to want to talk about that. Everybody just wants to talk about how Obama failed for not decisively winning. Romney was more aggressive than Obama, and neither one of them gave any clear policy details or explained their positions. Basically it was a just back and forth of one making claims about the other and then the other one denying it and repeating the same claims they had already made about their opponent. The whole thing went absolutely nowhere.

But Romney DID NOT win by any stretch of the imagination...he is simply considered to have won because he didn't lose.

Mitt Romney lied his way through the last debate on taxes, oil subsidies, green energy jobs, business regulation you name it. And the right wing goes wild. Do they really like the new Mitt, helping 14 year olds write their will? Or are they happy he is finally lying 100% of the time instead of 53% of the time? Is this the only way he can win and they know it? I do not know who is worse, Mitt or those people in St. pete cheering him on.

All I know is that Romney referred to half the country as dependent living off the government moochers that don't pay taxes. He said this in a moment of candor thinking it was closed doors. I also know that he wants to cut an additional 20% taxes on all including the rick and offers closing tax loopholes as a way of paying for this huge tax cut. The problem is he won't tell us what tax loopholes? is it the same ones that made it possible for 47% of people not to have to pay additional taxes? child tax credit, capital gains on the sales of homes? college? he couldn't possibly get close to recovering revenue by just removing tax loopholes from the rich? specially when he holds them in such high esteem and holds the 47% that didn't have to pay additional taxes with such contempt? whose tax credits is he going to cut? do we go by what he says in the debate everybody knows was full of lies or by what he said behind closed doors, which he defended for two straight weeks and only reentry took back? can you really trust this man not to stick it to the middle class when he thinks they are the takers and his peers are the makers??? and those of you who paid but only 5-10K in federal taxes? he holds you in contempt too because he doesn't care about what % that represents out of your income. He only cares that you only pay the same amount he would be willing to give up in a bet, while he had to pay millions in taxes, regardless of whether it was only 14% of his non-hidden income. Vote for this man, and brace yourself for what is coming, because he is the wealthy's chance to stop supporting all those "parasites" in the middle class.

A chance to set the record straight by shooting down the vendetta by the president and the lying liberal media of destroying Romney with slander, character assasination, and outright lies as to Romney's position and plans for America going forward. Now that the people has seen the real Romney, not the one manufactered by Obama and the media, the playing field is a little more level.

  22. Are you kidding me?

They are riding the sugar high and we all know where that leads.... A crash.

The GOP wants people to forget the bush administration which help contribute to the 2008 crash and recession. They have not proven to be capable of leading nor capable of helping working Americans. They only care for the rich people who contribute to their campaigns and they lobbiest pals.

so with Romney's 47% remark, he said it and then even went on to defend it until the polls showed it was a bad move. then he decided to do a reversal to align with the polling data. This guy completely un-trustworthy. Because of his extreme flip flopping, no voters have any idea what policies he really supports.

    Yes let's recap the debate:

Remember Romney's claim during the debate - "don't forget... you put $90 billion - like 50 years worth of breaks [big oil incentives] - into solar and wind."

Truth - The number included $6 billion for advanced batteries to make electric cars possible, $29 billion for energy efficiency and home retrofits, $3 billion for job training, and even $18 billion for transit and high speed rail. To pretend that all of that money went to solar and wind companies is ludicrous...and as usual for Romney - FALSE!

Romney alleged that the administration picked only "losers."

Truth - another false claim; they achieved a much higher success rate than Romney's at BAIN.

Oh and on jobs...there are 3.1 million green jobs in the United States right now. This is a big success story for Obama. Today, there are 75,000 Americans employed in the wind energy business alone, compared with 81,000 coal miners.

    VOTE for Obama!!!!!!
