Washington (CNN) – President Obama says his most embarrassing moment is when he runs into a wall. It is "par for the course for me…I'm running into doors and desks all the time."
The comments came as he answered kids' questions for the Nickelodeon special: "Kids Pick the President: The Candidates."

Nickelodeon videotaped kids posing the questions around the country, and the president answered them during an interview session at the White House. He also responded to questions about gun control, illegal immigration, jobs, outsourcing and bullying, according to a release from the network.
The responses are part of a special airing next week after which kids will vote for the candidate they think should be president. The network says in five of the last six elections the kids have correctly chosen the winner.
In a release, the network says Mitt Romney declined to participate after numerous attempts. The program will include file sound bites of Romney addressing the subjects.
The president's re-election campaign wasted no time in hitting its opponent over not participating. "It's no surprise Romney decided to play hookey. Kids demand details, and I'm sure they want some answers on why Romney could increase their class sizes, eliminate their teacher's jobs, raise taxes on their families and slash funding for Big Bird. Unfortunately for Mitt Romney, 'The dog ate my homework' just doesn't cut it when you're running for President," Obama campaign deputy press secretary Adam Fetcher said in a statement.
The Romney campaign refused to comment on its decision beyond saying it was unable to fit it into the candidate's schedule.
Both Obama and Sen. John McCain participated in the Nickelodeon 2008 kids special. Neither Sen. John Kerry nor President George W. Bush did an interview for it in 2004.

Prince Harry and William both serve in their countries military, in fact Harry's currently in Afghan. Romney has five(5) sons, are they suppose to be royalty or something that they can't serve?

Romney won't take a single question more than he has to. Just like he wont release a single tax return more than he is obligated to. This guy is unbelievable. I mean ask yourself why he refuses to take questions? What is he afraid of? Is it the fact that he lies every time he opens his mouth.

Oh how cute, Obama was able to answer kiddie questions and with those kids Obama was able to deliver unlike when he needed to answer adult questions and deliver to adults. Well. now we know at what level Obama is able to function without a teleprompter, oh no wait, the kids show just didn't show Obama using his teleprompter.
President Obama should do much better in this venue than the one the other night against Romney. At lease the kids will still be in awe of him

I have to respond to this ignorant comment every time I see it. You remember we have a volunteer army, right? Nobody is required to serve. Did Chelsea Clinton serve? Will O's girls serve? The Left's hypocrisy reeks and reveals what an absolute blame-a-minute kind of people they are.
Kids are a bunch of moochers like their dependent on government parents is Willard's view. If it were up to him he'd have kids in sweatshops at the age of 5.

I understand Big Bird or Sesame Street is worth about $440 Million plus which makes them more than capable to pay PBS instead of us borrowing money to pay for the shows of this very wealthy corporation "slash funding for Big Bird" which sells everywhere and sells everything from books to clothing.

This story is so one sided, They failed to mention that their requests for Romney was days before his stump speeches on the Campaign trail. Biased Media at its best!
Kids are very perceptive and they notice what is going on around them a lot more than many adults give them credit for. It is very telling that President Obama takes them seriously and takes the time to answer their questions, while Romney is disdainful of talking to children.
Takeaway: President Obama listens to all citizens, including the future of our nation: Children. No comment on The President's opponent's none participation. Ok, just one. Children expect and deserve honest, fair answers. Children will always ask genuine, unfiltered, honest questions and expect the same in return. Even President W. Bush read to kids. And President H. W. Bush had a special ID card made when a child questioned that he was President. Children are not stats that can be polled, they are pure innocence.

I can't WAIT for the next debate and the town hall format for Ken doll, Mitt. He kicked the hornets' nest in the first debate and the first stinging swarm to the Romney campaign will come Thursday night...then next Tuesday when Obama unleashes the full swarm against the liar, Mitt. Mitt sees everyday as an opportunity to reinvent himself. What a disgusting human being.
This is a fundamental and critical flaw. Not being able/willing to communicate with children hides a deep and awful
personality disaster. It also correlates to his false and fake smile/grin. And to his nervous and feminine "walk".
He has neither the professional nor human qualities to be responsible for other human beings. And he is no leader.
Leaders main quality is the capability to inspire. Romney could not inspire anybody to do anything. He has to buy
everything. Including the not to bright part of the electorate. The bright members of the GOP know this. Too late!!
