Longtime Republicans torn between party loyalty and Obamacare

(CNN) – Jill Thacker was dying for a cup of coffee when she recently ran into a 7-Eleven convenience store. To her pleasant surprise, the coffee was free - as long as she would commit to drinking it in either a red Mitt Romney cup or a blue Barack Obama cup.

"Which are you going to choose, Mom?" her son asked.

Obama ad: Romney is 'reckless' with foreign policy

(CNN) - As Mitt Romney delivers a foreign policy address Monday in Virginia, he'll be met with a new television ad by his opponent's re-election campaign that highlights the GOP nominee as "reckless" and "amateurish" on international affairs.

President Barack Obama's team released a new commercial that they say will run on Virginia airwaves, which criticizes Romney over his recent forays into foreign policy, including his foreign trip and comments on the Libya consulate attack.

Poll: Romney and Obama tied after first debate

Washington (CNN) – A new national poll suggests Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney got a bounce out of last week's first presidential debate.

According to Gallup's latest seven-day tracking poll, President Barack Obama has a slight 49%-46% edge over Romney among registered voters nationwide, which is within the survey's sampling error. But Gallup breaks down their poll into pre- and post- debate figures.

Education cuts target of new Priorities ad

(CNN) - A new ad from Priorities USA, the super PAC supporting President Barack Obama's re-election, hits GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney for supporting cuts to education in order to pay for a large tax cut for wealthy Americans.

The spot, called "Stick," will run in the battleground states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin, according to Priorities USA. The group said the spot is part of a larger $30 million effort to educate voters about Romney's policy plans.

Romney to deliver foreign policy speech

(CNN) - Mitt Romney will seek to bolster his foreign policy credentials in a major speech Monday, two weeks before the GOP presidential nominee takes part in a presidential debate focused on security.

In his remarks, set to take place at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Romney will address the ongoing unrest in Syria, calling for the U.S. to "work with our partners" to help the opposition and "ensure they obtain the arms they need."
