CEO emails 7,000 employees: Defeat Obama or else

New York (CNNMoney) – Surprise. David Siegel, the resort CEO who is building the biggest private home in the country, really, really doesn't like President Obama.

And while Siegel hasn't sent any money to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, he has gone a step farther to support him.

I see so this guy says the wrong people are in office...however the collapse that nearly tanked his company happened immediately following 8 years of Republican policy (can't blame Obama for that one!!)....Since Obama took office he has been able to rehire 40% of the employees he laid off.....hmmm That means his company has stabilized and is clearly growing since Obama took office...Yet according to him the WRONG guys are in office. The bottom line is that with increased taxation he won't have the EXCESS income to build the largest private home in the country! POOR GUY. So he threatens his entire staff to vote Romney. THIS IS A SNAKE IF I EVER SAW ONE!!!!

Sounds like a lot of employees are going to have a lawsuit for hostile work environment. I don't care which way it is – conservative or liberal.

So threatening your employees with being fired so they'll vote your way? Wow, serfdom, here we come!

wow...1st voter suppression & now this :(......i too work for a company and let me say that if i received an e-mail like this....irregardless of this CEO's intent, it would absolutely be perceived as a threat & most definitely a scare tatic . How astonishing that this guy doesn't think he is attempting to persuade his employees to vote for Mitt. If he is as smart & hard working as he has alluded to, then I would think he is also aware of how offensive he is when attempting to ascribe to the fact that he is not threatening the likes of his own employees.

Well, that should anger about 99.9% of his employees. Enough so that 6,999 vote for Obama.

Unethical, elitist CEOs want Romney's disproportionate tax cuts for the rich, which would leave middle-class workers footing the bill. It's not right and not worth having our votes bullied.

    This is America.

If I could I would boycott this extornist but I am middle class and never stay at resorts. Perhaps The Federal Government will investigate him for extortion. He is a rich pig paying minimum wage no doubt.

So this CEO has the lowest tax rate in decades and he says he can't make it if Obama is President ? He must be one lousy CEO and I might just start sending out letters to my company and customers saying don't stay at any of his resorts. If he wants to be mad at someone then be mad at the one that caused all of this and if you are not smart enough to run a company that has to pay its fair share of taxes maybe he should never build that 90,000 sq foot house, because if thinks times are tough now wait and see what happens if Romney takes everything away from people that would stay in his resorts

Wow! In America? Is this what we want? People in authority telling others what to do or else? This will back-fire. Also this proves CLASS-WARFARE IS AN REALITY!!

Just another reason for the electorate to send a strong message to the money obseesed among us that America still belongs to the people.

Every one of his employees should call in sick for the day, and see how fast this egomaniac and his shareholders change their tune. This is what's wrong with corporate America and the disparity between incomes. With the help of the GOP and the mega-rich, this country is heading toward another civil war, and I can hardly wait. Conservatism and greed need to be eradicated once and for all.

So this is how it will be in Romney World. If you do not do as the Romney support says you will be out of a job.

In addition to the fact that if (and that is a big if) Romney does win you will lose your job anyway.

Yes American, welcome to Romney World. It is more of Bush World but on steroids.

That is crossing the line. No one is going to tell me how I am to vote. I do not care how wealthy they are. I am going to vote for me... not to protect his giant house.

I can picture Republicans, Drooling over and carefully counting their tax breaks$ from Romney. Now we know, they never meant to create more jobs, it went straight to their Swiss bank accounts and other tax shelters. 12 straight years of Bush Tax cut, hand outs !!! Americans have suffered and sacrificed . Americans, have lost their Homes, Pensions and Health Care. What have these CEO's sacrificed ? Absolutely nothing. They want to continue to greedily, take Advantage, even tho we are going through an Economic Melt down, that they started !!! Disgraceful.

Tell Mr Siegel it will take more than 7000 to sink this ship. And isnt this a violation against Freedom of Speech. How do you threaten someone to not VOTE for someone with their job, this isnt a Communist country the last time I checked.

    And this man understands how this President and his policies are hurting buisnesses and profits and employees jobs. Taxing buisnesses out of this world, increasing spending and debt and redestribution to the United Naitons treaties on guns, the internet , and oil wells will not help either which is what this [President wants to do to our nation by pushing it through the Senate in his lame duck session of November and December. So speak up to the Senate and stop it Senators unless you are traitors to our nation and its freedoms. And he wants to redistribute it to rogue leaders of rogue nations in the far east, africa and central america. Sincerely ;
