FIRST ON CNN: Biden debate prep photos

Danville, Kentucky (CNN) - CNN has obtained exclusive pictures showing Vice President Joe Biden practicing for the vice presidential debate against Rep. Paul Ryan in the Sheraton Hotel in Wilmington, Delaware where Biden spent the last four days in an intensive debate camp.

This look at Biden's practice set up shows the lengths his team went to replicate the debate conditions he will experience tonight as he squares off in his only debate against his Republican opponent at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Tune to CNN for Thursday's vice presidential debate coverage starting at 7 p.m. ET on CNN TV, CNN.com and via CNN's apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. Web users can become video editors with a new clip-and-share feature that allows them to share favorite debate moments on Facebook and Twitter.

A second floor ballroom in the hotel was staged to resemble the debate conditions, complete with a similar blue backdrop, red carpet and a semi circle-shaped table like the one he will share with Ryan.

As seen in the photos taken Wednesday, Biden is seated on the left in the debate. Paul Ryan, played by Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland, in the mock debates, is seated on the right.

Across from Biden and Ryan is moderator Martha Raddatz, played by the Vice President's communications director Shailagh Murray, who is a former reporter with The Washington Post.

I love how libs recycle the same insults about repubs...calling Mr. Romney Mittens or Robme. Please be more clever. And to the "guest" who said Big Bird teaches morals...Bert and Ernie being gay is certtainly morals that young children need to learn. Oh and calling Fox News Faux News...again please be a little more creative. LAst note...Ryan should clean Bidens clock this evening.

@Mindie in Indie "id you know he was the person who negotiated the Iraq withdrawal? Biden was also intremental in getting lower interest rates for college loans. He's been a champion of crime, especially crime against women his entire career."

Do you really believe that crap. The exit was negotiated by the Bush administration and only carried out by the Obama administration. Also, yes he droned on about interest rates, but it was the take over of the loans by the federal government or the Congress that did it not VP Biden. As to caring about crime, you must be confused. That is all Biden does is talk. The problem is he doesn't do anything but talk. Look at how charitable he is on his taxes. i give more than him by 10 times and I am not rich. It will be an interesting show, but I am guessing Biden will be talking in the wrong direction and be his typical gaffe machine self.

Let me get this straight. The ranking Dem on the house budget committee, appointed by the people to represent Maryland has 4 days to role play ?? Do we the taxpayers get a refund?

    @Mindie in Indie

First of all, it's "instrumental", not "intremental". Generally, educated people proofread and know how to spell.

Secondly, I wouldn't use the Iraq withdrawal as proof of Biden's expertise, considering how badly the administration bungled that.

Third, The College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 reduced the interest rates on college loans, and Biden did not sponsor that bill. The agreement to extend it was non-partisan.

Finally, yes...Biden is great with women's issues. Unfortunately, he has not extended that during his VP term. His wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has been doing the heavy lifting in that regard.

Biden has actually made almost no mark on the Vice Presidency. Unless you count saying incredibly stupid things at incredibly inopportune times. I live in Delaware and believe me...that's the Joe Biden you're going to get.

@guest, if you leave teaching your children morals to Big Bird and the TV it is no wonder your kid lies to you. Gov. Romney was spot on in his comments. Fact checks show there are 47M on food stamps. The labor force has 23M unemployed and underemployed. The problem is that President Obama couldn't refute facts. Those numbers came out of the BLS and SS administration. Also, the Princeton professor that Obama sourced the next day on the $5T tax cut says that the President is misrepresenting his paper. He stated Gov. Romney could pay for tax cuts through closing loopholes and cutting federal spending while balancing the budget. Here is a clue don't give 500B to companies like Solyndrra and stop wasting money on Big Bird. The Children's Television Workshop is pretty profitable and doesn't need our taxpayer money. Neither does Planned Parenthood. They can get support from private organizations. The government shouldn't be in the business of social engineering.

Biden will need a lot more than a room that looks similar to his practice room tonight. He's going to need to bring his brain and facts to beat Ryan. Now where did he leave that brain................

Anyone who takes Biden seriously is not paying attention. The man is a serial liar.
Lied about having three undergraduate degrees. He has one.
Lied about going to law school on a full merit-based scholarship, when he went on a half-scholarship based on financial need.
Biden admitted to plagiarism in law school and plagiarized a speech while running for president in ’87
There are others but how much do you need to know to be done with a serial liar??????

Debates don't win elections. They sway those that sits on the fence weeks before election which to me is puzzling because from when both parties nominated a candidate everyone should have had ample time to make up their mind based on the facts that the candidates put out during their campaigns rather than the lies they will say during debates. Those making up minds from debates are the one's that keep getting this nation backward since they come in last min and believe in the lies the hear on the air.

Van Hollen debates himself everytime he does an interview. If Biden can get the eye rolling to look into his skull to read the notes that are inscribed there, he will have his cheat sheet and will not go off script.
