Obama camp, liberal groups use VP debate to organize Catholic voters

(CNN) – As it organizes Catholic watch parties for Thursday night’s debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan, who are both Roman Catholic, the Obama campaign hasn’t been shy about suggesting that the GOP vice presidential nominee hasn’t lived up to his Catholic values.

“For Catholic outreach, a defining moment in this campaign has been (Mitt) Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan as his running mate,” said Broderick Johnson, a senior adviser with Barack Obama’s campaign who spearheads Catholic outreach efforts.

I understand the significance that religion may play in a person's character, but I don't see the significance in how it determines how well an individual may govern in a country where the government is defiined by law to be free and indpendent of religion.

If lying is a sin then Paul Ryan has proven that he is not a committed Catholic. He's proven it many times over on the national stage and during daily stump speeches. Politics should be no excuse for lying and deceiving the American people.

There's a reason why "Nuns On A Bus" was organized: The Ryan Budget. I'm not Catholic, however I'm a Christian and I know that Lyin' Ryan's budget is not aligned with the teachings of Jesis Christ.

If Ryan just tells the truth, Biden doesn't have to say a word. Result = landslide for Dems and victory for the people of the USA!

Any Catholic who truly follows the teachings of the Church knows that above all things, we must work to protect all life. The Church strongly condemns the murderous act of abortion, which these "so-called" Catholics like Biden, Pelosi, and Sebelius don't seem to get. Their pro-abortion agenda is an insult to the Catholic Church.

Guess what you just proved. Abortion is not a sin, among other things.

Ryan stated that his Religion helped him with his budget................ I was born and raised Roman Catholic, I don't remember anywhere in the Old or New Testament that it said the Rich shall benefit at the expense of the poor.......... He must be worshiping a different God.......
