Obama: 'could not be prouder' of Biden debate

(CNN) - President Barack Obama called Vice President Joe Biden shortly after Thursday's vice presidential debate, and told reporters that he "could not be prouder" of his running mate.

"I'm going to make a special point of saying I thought Joe Biden was terrific," he told reporters after Air Force One landed near Washington. "I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case. And you know I really think that his passion for making sure that the economy grows for the middle class came through so I'm really proud of him."

It is highly unusual for Obama to approach reporters in this fashion after deplaning.

Obama also posted a tweet to his official Twitter feed after the debate.

"Tonight proved once again that you won't find a better and more tireless advocate for the middle class than @JoeBiden. -bo #TeamJoe," he wrote.

Obama was to watch at least part of the debate while flying back from Florida, where he held an earlier campaign fundraiser in Miami.

Joe Biden did a credible job and I though he came across in a genuine way. Heck, I was laughing at some of Ryan's "stumbles" and his lack of specifics myself ...

When you can't win on performance and facts, then bully and intimidate... The Marxist playbook, by any means necessary.

Reply to James Rogers: You apparently did not watch the debate last week between Gov. Romney and President Obana. You thus didn't see how often Mr. Romney interrupted, talked over, and attempted to hijack the debate. I thought his (Romney's) behaviour was boorish and abrasive. As did a great many of the viewers.

I agree 100% with President Obama that he was polite. I agree with this approach, that is what I want from my President, to stay cool. However no doubt that is why it is perceived as if he lost the first debate by many, who fail to look beyond delivery to the content of what was being said... Now Biden gave it to Lyin-Ryan the good old Irish way, and boy-o-boy, Lyin-Ryan lost it big time! He in turn would have had to show us some content, and there was none!

The Office of the President does not assign U.S. Marines OR other military personnel overseas or stateside-nor does it assign anbassadors. The process involves Pentagon decisions for military and nominations/confirmations-senatorial and appointments. Some folks just don't have a clue how Washington really works...get a clue people!

Biden has no class and he absolutely managed to prove it. His continuous obnoxious, condescending rude behavior was only overwhelmed by his inability to respond in an "adult" fashion with facts.
You can laugh all you want Biden, but in the end your inept Administration will be recognized for the fact that they blatantly and as far as I am concerned, intentionally ignored any warnings that there could be a terrorist attack and continued the charade of suggesting that it was because of a "film." What happened in Libya was disgusting and you and President Obama should be charged with ignorance and voted out of office.
IT was 911 and EVEN if there were NOT any rumors of an attack you INCREASE SECURITY in any Middle Eastern American Embassy simple because it was 9/11/2012.
Here's the deal Biden, WE NEED REAL JOBS!!!! Not $7.50 an hour seasonal jobs that will be laid off after the New Year.
    Wake up PEOPLE!!!
WE NEED JOBS!!! And the Obama Administration is not capable of creating Economic Recovery.
For an entry level job, at $8.00 an hour, I had 100 applicants apply, in which 50% or maybe more had college degrees and could not find a job in the field that they received their degree so they are fighting for an entry level job if they can get it. That is very very sad. Time for a change, and I don't mean pocket change. I already have enough pocket change now I need real "change."

If the debate was a show about being brutish and rude, then Biden won. If it was about facts and decorum, then Ryan won.

Joe looked absolutely rediculous. What was he on? Joe looked like he had just had a smoke of who knows what. At times he looked like he could not control himself. He looked like a true idiot. Mr. Ryan was absolutely amazing! He was articulate, professional, respectful, and pleasing to the eye. Another win for the Republicans.

Way to go, Joe. You really took Paul to task. Now if the POTUS learns any lessons from this, it is not to be "Mr. Nice Guy" when battling ROMNO.
